The food is absolutely AMAZING!! The atmosphere and Music is a definite vibe. However, the service was not so great upon arrival. There seems to be a lot of confusion and attitude from the host. And good luck with trying to reserve a table online as they take "requests" only. They didn't have my reservation or request when we arrived, and the host sent us to the bar and never returned with an update, while we watched others come after us with NO reservations be seated before us. When we tried to ask a question we were given more attitude from the host. Thank fully there was another host who happily and cheerfully helped, and seated us. There really should be a little more organization and friendliness at the door. As a former Hostess and Maitre'D, I know it can get overwhelming but a smile and some sort of communication does go a long way during wait times. All in all I will go back, but I will probably order food for pick up. It was just a little too hectic.

*AMAZING* WOW! My experience here at Harry’s Daughter was one to remember. From the ambience to the attentiveness of our waiter Gregory, I wouldn’t have asked for a better night. Gregory was not just a waiter, he became such a great host for our table! The food!!!! Oh my goodness! The Jerk Salmon was cooked to perfection and don’t get me started on the Jerk Egg Rolls! Clearly I’m a fan and will return!!! You HAVE to visit Harry’s Daughter!!!

I have been living in NJ for the past 4 years and could never find a good Caribbean restaurant, but Harry's daughter did not disappoint. The staff was so attentive. The ambiance was a real vibe. Very Trendy. The wait for the food was not long, and the restaurant was packed. The own was so kind, and the food was 10/10. As a fellow Trini myself, Harry's daughter made me proud. I will absolutely be going back.

We’ve been wanting to try this place forever, and what better time than my partner’s birthday! The staff is welcoming, the decor is a vibe, and the energy of the place makes it a very special place in Jersey City. This is all before I even talk about the food and drinks. I had the Caribbean salad and vegan stew; he had the wings and jerk ribs. We had the coco rum punch and the watermelon margarita. Everything was amazing!!! The salad had all fresh and delicious ingredients with a wonderful house dressing. As someone who loves to cook often, I love going out and eating things that are hard to figure out the ingredients-that was this vegan stew. Delicious flavors with a kick. My partner said the wings and ribs were not to be beat!If you do make a reservation, make sure you tell them and give them your name to avoid any confusion and misplaced charges.

I visited the restaraunt frequently since its opened and I must admit the food has gotten worse. I'm not sure if they have switched chefs or recipes. During my most recent visit the food lacked flavor. The serving sizes were decent but the food was plated differently. My cousin ordered catfish and it was very dry. The onions and peppers were tossed on the side whereas previously they were served on top of the fish adding additional flavor. I ordered shirt ribs and although they were very tender, they lacked flavor and so did their signature pumpkin rice. The one thing I will say is that the jerk chicken eggrolls were delicious. I'm not sure if its because we didnt have a reservation but we waited patiently for a table so that shouldn't matter. Our food was promptly delivered to our table. While waiting we sat at the bar and ordered a cocktail. Overall the service, atmosphere and bartender were great.

I really liked the roti appetizer. Such a nice remix. A bit too much cheese but really tasty. Mac n cheese was really good too. Please make your music mixed better. Soca mix preferred. Random songs jumping felt weird. Live music is a good idea but automated Playlist with odd songs killed the vibe. Eg. Ducking followed by Everything but the girl

First and foremost, Gabriel our waiter was PHENOMENAL! he really kept us from leaving after appetizers...great job to him. However, the food was not a good representation of Trinidad or Caribbean culture. And Im Trinidadadian. I've been to many Caribbean restaurants in the NY/NJ area. The menu execution is terrible . Roti quesadillas, good concept, but chicken with cheddar cheese blend inside with, guacamole and salsa?!? Epic fail. Try a curry flavored protein inside with some tamarind sauce or something on the side. The jerk chicken egg rolls. They were ok but the filling texture was not tasty and texture was mushy. The white rice was hard, saw many people sending it back and the Mac n cheese was not cooked. The cheese on top was melted that was it.The drinks.... trying to do too much in one drink. I don't know whose testing your good creations out, its not working. Again in concept they seem like great ideas, but the execution needs work ( we had the Hawaiian spicy drink and the prosecco with the fruit punch popsicle inside).Lets talk vibes...Now it was st Patty's day, but if I'm in a Caribbean restaurant I don't want to hear disco, rock and Irish music. Maybe a couple tunes because it was st. Patty's day. We had to ask the dj to play some soca and reggae. This place can be something special, but work on the menu and the music selection.

The food here was okay but wow the service was SOOO slow. We waited about 35 minutes for our food and the table behind us was waiting for 45 minutes and was ready to walk out. And then it took about another 30 minutes to get our check until my boyfriend finally decided to go inside and look for the waitress to ask her again for the check. Probably wouldn’t come back here to be honest

I recently visited Harry's Daughter and was delighted by their new brunch menu. Among the delicious options, the banana French toast stood out as an absolute favorite. The dish was a perfect balance of flavors, with the sweetness of the bananas complementing the rich, custardy French toast. Combined with the cozy atmosphere, terrific music and excellent service, it made for a great brunch experience. Highly recommend trying it out!
