Awesome food and service. Legit New Orleans fare. Can't wait to go back for some more beignets.

A hidden gem in Jersey City. I ordered the special, which was a crab cake po' boy along with their hurricane mocktail (supplemented with some tequila I brought myself). The po' boy had the perfect lettuce, tomato, pickle blend to top the freshly fried crab cakes. The portions were also really good for the prices, I was very satisfied. I ordered the banana bread pudding for dessert to go and it was absolutely delectable. They have a lot of enticing items on their menu I will definitely be back to try more.

Underrated. If you are "up the hill" you shouldn't miss this joint, especially in the summer. Its BYOB, and the muffuletta, catfish, okra, dirty rice, lentil soup, greens, etc etc etc are great. The patio is fun and the section of Bergen Ave the place is located on is quite vibrant.

Had a delicious dinner last night at this sweet, cozy spot! Highly recommend the shrimp po boy, catfish, and the, oh my, light-as-air beignets! Starters are also great, and the house salad is yummy. Well-chosen background music and friendly staff made for a perfect evening out.

First of all, let me make sure you guys understand that I’m a 29 year Brooklyn native. Not knowing anything about southern cuisine I strolled into Krewe as I explored Jersey City. Before even getting through the doors I’m greeted by calming music leading me into an eye catching environment filled with tasteful art along with festive decorations.Smiles all around taking me to my seat as my stomach began to growl with anticipation. I’m a heavy eater of chicken so I went with the Chicken Po Boy….didn’t regret a thing. The south cut up chicken thigh overflowing out of my sandwich was a sight to see and the juiciness left my tastebuds back flipping. Water for my beverage as I’m a simple man. On a reccomendation I tried the Grit Fries - never knowing what grits truly were. To my surprise the delicious crispy crunchy outer layer was nothing compared to the soft warm cloud in the middle. I was sold, sandwich so flavorful along with a side of deep fried heaven - what more can I ask for from my new lunch spot.Service was amazing as people were warm and friendly. Cooks did an amazing job and the food was complimented by a very clean and vibrant environment. You’ll definitely catch me there again!

The food (especially the specials) are incredible, I've been to New Orleans a dozen times and this compares to some of the best I've had there. The service is fun, attentive, and on top of things. Amazing date spot or just for a nice takeaway dinner in. Highest recommendation.

Ordered gumbo and garlic bread from Uber Eats. Could use some spicy heat but it was good. Garlic bread was underwhelming.

Ordered take out for the first time. Seafood gumbo, shrimp etoufee, blackened catfish and banana bread pudding. I'm super impressed! Great flavors, well seasoned. Loved the gumbo, shrimp, and banana bread the most. Excited to try in person.

This is one of my favorite hidden gems in Jersey City. Great spot for date night and brunch. It’s BYOB with no corking fees and the decor is so cute. I also had ordered a few dishes for catering for my Friendsgiving and they were a hit! My go-to is usually the BBQ shrimp but none of the dishes have disappointed. Absolutely recommend for foodies and those looking to escape the crowded bars, especially if you’re on a budget.

What a treat Krewe is every time we have it. My wife and I love that this gem is only around the block from us. The Gumbo is as authentic as any you've ever had before. Pay attention when your waiter reads the specials because they really are special. The Portions are healthy and it's BYOB so can wash your meal down with anything you want. The dining room is a little tight but that only adds to the atmosphere when they have live music going. The service is always incredible and super, super friendly. Good chance you'll even meet the owners, the head chef and his wife.
