Definitely stop in if you like southern cooking! Everything was perfect, except I didn’t see no ghosts! I had the catfish with mashed and sweet potatoes and my friend had the meatloaf. My fish was cooked perfectly! I asked for tartar sauce—didn’t use it the breading was so flavorful. And the meatloaf was double backed with a sweet tomato sauce, it was perfect as well. And the price was very reasonable—‘soul’ or ‘southern’ cooking can be so expensive because every last thing is made from scratch,, but it was very easy on the wallet w no compromise on quality. The waitress was a sweetheart; the decor could use an update, but it’s clean, just dark. We’ll be back

Honest review! Today, 2/13/24. I went there approximately 1:43pm. Sat there for 22mins. Asked to use the restroom, got the key. Came back out an asked when am I going to be served?? Ms Moonie said “oh, we about to close in 10 mins ?. I responded with you looked me in my face an left me sitting there!??? Her response was “oh i thought you were being helped”!!! I never received a menu!! I never had this problem with the other waitress, I haven’t seen her in awhile! I left the diner and called back because Ms Moonie took it lightly with just “Sorry”. I spend money there! Uber, takeout,and dine in. Called back and Ms Moonie informed me she’s the manager!! Employees can ruin a GREAT establishment!! Food is great. The Owner needs to post a dedicated number somewhere within the diner-for patrons that walk in and have a Bad customer experience!

This is one of my new favorite places to order from. The cornbeard was warm, fluffy, buttery, and fresh. The bacon mac and cheese was gift sent from the heavens. The smothered chicken, yams, and mashed potatoes sent me into a food coma I couldnt rise from for 4 hours. This is a legit treat-yo-self restaurant. Cant wait to have more!

The cornbread is amazing. You do have to pay for your meal first, which isn't that abnormal when you think about it and everything i had was delicious. The interior is more current than the exterior and a pleasant suprise.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Food is mediocre, and NEVER in my life have I seen a waitress move so slow. I have worked in food service majority of my life and anyone knows there should be a sense of urgency. Apparently not at this place. Definitely do not recommend unless you want to wait for a very long time.

We've been wanting to try Larsen's for a while now and finally got the chance and OH MY GOD!! Everything was amazing and made with such detail and care. We started with the delicious split pea soup made with smoked turkey. Savory, homemade and incredible. I had the fried catfish and my husband had the smothered chicken. Hes from from the South, so his taste buds are very discerning. Both dishes passed the test by a mile. We will definitely be coming back. All of this goodness was also accompanied by service with a smile!!

It's too bad I took so long to go inside this place. The atmosphere is mild, and the food is exquisitely tasteful. Have patience because meals are prepared by order (this is not a fast food dining experience... go to McDonald's for that).

First off, this is the best meatloaf you will ever eat. Staff is so friendly and makes it feel like home. The wait for food was a little long, and if someone is crunched for time, that might be an issue, but the food is worth the wait. Can't overstate how great and friendly the people working there are, and I would definitely recommend this diner

Love this place!!! Best breakfast and burgers ever. Catered some of my Thanksgiving dishes this year. They made me a try of the most delicious mac n cheese, yams and collards greens! Everything was sooooooooooooooooooooooo yummy!!! Thank you Larsen's!!
