3 hairs in my ramen. You have to remember these people are not Japanese. So please don’t call this a Japanese restaurant.

Miso Ramen in Jersey City, while not clinching the top spot, proudly stands as the third-best in this culinary competitive town, a feat that is no small accomplishment. In a city teeming with ramen contenders, each vying for the title of the best, being number three is a testament to the quality and charm this place exudes. This ranking doesn't diminish its allure; rather, it highlights the rich tapestry of options available to the discerning ramen aficionado in Jersey City. To be third in such a distinguished lineup is akin to holding a bronze medal in an Olympic field of gastronomic giants. It speaks volumes about the dedication and skill behind each bowl served. The miso ramen here, a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, reflects the meticulous care taken in its preparation. Being number three doesn't mean compromise in quality or experience. On the contrary, it's a beacon for those who seek not just the popular choice, but a place that resonates with authenticity and passion. In the words of a culinary explorer like myself, sometimes the third-best spot is where you find the heart of a city's food scene. It's where the story isn't just about the food, but about the people, the atmosphere, and the unyielding commitment to a craft. In Jersey City, this miso ramen spot isn't just a number three; it's a destination with its own unique story, one that richly deserves to be told and savored.

Very good food, but I have been charged with a tip meanwhile I did not eat there. I remember indicating a tip of 0$ (which is standard when you take away) and got charged 6$ after I consulted my bank account. Take your receipt with you if you go there.

A really great Ramen place! Went here for dinner with friends, and everyone liked what they ordered. Some of us took home leftovers. The portions are pretty good. I would recommend the mushroom ramen for vegetarians. This is a thumbs up IMO.

Overall, not a bad Ramen spot. Got the waitresses recommendation of Chashu ramen and it was good... nice broth, good noodles, though I wish the pork had been a bit more tender. The night I went, the place seemed a bit short staffed, but when we did get attention, the staff was friendly.

The ramen was just about average, and for that had to wait for more than 30 mins, not worth the wait!

While I didn't eat I accompanied 2 people. They didn't really like the ramen. It also took a very long time for the food to come out. The service was ok. Definitely respectful. But the way they did the seating arrangements didn't allow them to have more people sitting comfortably. We wanted to move to a different table( the bar) and we already finished our appetizer. But we couldn't because the food was "billed to the table already". It's a small space. Pretty sure it wouldn't make a difference. The table was also very lop sided and the food was pretty pricey. However, this was my first ramen restaurant so idk how much these places should be charging.

The pork buns are the best way to start this meal. The balance between the pillowy bun, the crunch from the cabbage slaw in Mayo is needed against the fall apart juicy pork belly. The pork was a larger slice than I've had before and you could shred it with a fork. The preparation of the gyoza is less common as well. They are generously filled and seared the sauce or extra wonton wrapper creates a nice crepe like substance around each bite. The soy sauce and spice sauce helps add dimension to the dish. I loved the tiered chashu ramen presentation on delivery. The broth stayed extremely warm and the noodles didn't get soggy. You have to wait a little while to let the noodles marinade in the broth so that they can easily come apart and soak up the flavor. I would have liked a little bit of a spice element to add to the broth, but once I finally tasted the pickled ginger I knew that was its purpose. It's uncommon to find picked ginger in ramen, but I really enjoyed that. Aside of the soft boiled egg, which is always the piece I save for last, this chashu had the best flavor of any I'd had. Everything was delivered neatly packaged, warm, and the presentation was nice.

It was a cold, rainy day, my friends and I were craving a comforting bowl of ramen. It started with a curious note – a wait despite plenty of empty tables. Nevertheless, we were seated and my choice was the Mushroom ramen. Unfortunately, it leaned towards the bland side, leaving me yearning for a little spice to liven it up. My friends both went for the pork ramen and their expressions said it all – absolute delight. It seemed like the chef has mastered the art of crafting a truly delicious pork ramen. As for the service, it appeared they were a tad short-staffed that day, causing us to patiently wait for our meals and prompting us to grab the attention of the waitstaff a couple of times. Despite the hiccups, it was a warm, satisfying meal shared with friends that we'll remember.
