A gem in the neighbourhood. A friend and I were visiting Jersey City from South Africa and NDP was just down the road from our B&B. We had the most wonderful dinner there, with James, the owner explaining how he and his wife started the little restaurant. The food was exceptional and we were able to order a bottle of wine from a winery close by, which was delivered in minutes. Absolutely worth a visit!

This establishment embodies all the qualities I cherish in a neighborhood gem – an inviting ambiance accentuated by bright and tasteful decor, abundant greenery that imparts a sense of stepping into a cherished home. The lavatory, adorned with entertaining comic books and captivating artwork, is a haven one could easily lose themselves in.A delightful birthday brunch orchestrated by my girlfriend and her husband elevated my visit to a new echelon. Our chosen corner, bathed in natural light, provided a picturesque setting complemented by low-volume yet contemporary music. The BYOB policy allowed us to augment our experience with personal touches, such as our own supply of orange juice and Prosecco. The owners, gracious and welcoming, exemplify the epitome of hospitality. The culinary offerings showcase a harmonious fusion of Asian and American influences, with flavors that transcend the ordinary. The Pork Belly Adobo, featuring purple rice, succulent pork belly, kimchi, fingerling potatoes, eggs, and biscuits, left an indelible impression. The impeccable seasoning beckons one to savor every morsel, making it nearly irresistible to leave an empty plate.Nestled conveniently near the light rail in the vibrant heart of Jersey City, this establishment maintains a delicate balance, exuding the energy of a bustling locale while retaining the charm of a serene neighborhood spot. Despite the bustling surroundings, the ambiance remains quintessentially quaint. The memory of the delectable cake we enjoyed eludes me, yet its splendid taste remains etched in my mind. A return to this establishment is not a mere possibility but an assurance. Also took home their carrot cake and it was pretty epic as well. Gratitude for the best dining experience one could ask for!Vegetarian options: Lots to pick fromDietary restrictions: The chef can accommodate any dietParking: Near a busy area but parking is available at the Agnes apt buildingKid-friendliness: No kids menu but many kid friendly dishesWheelchair accessibility: Large space easily accessible

What an awesome experience ! If you haven't tried Next door provisions and you're thinking of whether or not you should try this place out, stop thinking and go. You won't be disappointed. Nothing against classic Filipino dishes but westside already has enough of that ?. They put a twist on a lot of Filipino dishes and have some Italian fusion and Korean fusion . Food looked amazing and food was made to order I believe . I would definitely recommend the bibingka pancake which turned out to be exactly that, a little sweet and savory. Their karekare came with noodles which was a nice twist instead of the usual white rice.Parking: Parking is street parking, might be a little difficultWheelchair accessibility: First floor , easy access .

My experience at Next Door Provisions was excellent. My favorite dish may have been the Kare Kare Mafaldini, which is surprising as I normally do not eat traditional Kare Kare from other Filipino restaurants. Going for Sunday brunch was a great choice, we got to hear about the most popularly ordered dishes, the hospitality was wonderful, and I am excited to come visit again.

It was an absolutely flawless and incredible experience and a part of Jersey City. You don't often go to. One of the most dynamic and interesting restaurants I've been in a very long time !

I'm very pleased and impressed with this restaurant. The fusion is incredibly smart and authentic. I can taste the Filipino flavors merged with other asian & italian flavors. My personal favorite is the Kare kare mafaldini and the squid ink palabok. My spouse's favorite is the katsu sando. We are also very impressed with the pork belly adobo, gnocchi sardi and the tortang talong. I also love and appreciate that they were able to provide chicken tenders for my baby. It's totally off the menu but they were able to make one for my son. There dishes are so well thought and deliciously done. It felts like I was dining at SoHo but in Jersey City. We will try to the other dishes soon. The chef/owners were very accommodating and welcoming. The resto is such a cute place to chill and enjoy a meal. We will definitely come back. Thank you Chef Ruby!I love love love the mango guava drink with ginger! You won't be disappointed if you order it.Kid-friendliness: The made a dish for my baby that is totally off the menu. Thank you!

This place is one of the best in Jersey City imo. Food alone, probably in my top 3.My gf and I ordered 3 dishes, the katsu sando, spicy chicken ramen, and bibingka. Gosh, where do I start. The katsu sando was perfect, layers of delicious and complementing flavors and textures. A nice piece of fried chicken, with a good proportion of slaw, on perfectly toasted bread (brioche?). Not too greasy. Came with a small side or popcorn. A different, but very welcome take on a typical katsu sando. The spicy chicken ramen was also perfect. A nice, wholesome, milky-looking broth, with swirls of red. Delicious, hearty, but light taste coming from some creative combo of seasonings. Straight ramen noodles cooked al dente were a perfect match. Reminds me of a new take on well made tonkotsu ramen. This was my first time having a bibingka and it was delicious. Considering the creative takes that this place puts forth in their food, I'd guess that it's different from a traditional bibingka. That aside, i'd say it was a thicker pancake, but not dense. In fact, very fluffy inside. The outside had a thin layer of crisp to it. There was a salted egg in the middle that we took little pieces of to enjoy with the sweet pancake parts surrounding it. Coconut shavings were sprinkled on the top and some kind of tasty butter in the center. All very very tasty.I had both of their fruit drinks. The Mango Guava drink and Yuzu Cider. This is not just fruit juice. This place elevates everything they make. The mango guava drink is mango and guava nectar combined with ginger honey tea (I think is what one of the owners said, who are also very nice, personable people). If you need a healthy morning boost, get this drink. The Yuzu Cider was a different type of delicious. A very well balanced combo of apple cider and yuzu. Yuzu was not overpowering or overly sour.We also took to-go their pork belly adobo, ube cheesecake, carrot cake, and a few cookies. Half of these have already been eaten and we definitely need to go to the gym this week. The space is on the smaller side, but has a very pleasant vibe and aesthetic. Modern, lots of plants, well lit with natural light.Costs are on the pricier side, but for this level of food and service, it's a steal in my opinion. The owners James and Ruby are lovely people. Very knowledgeable, hospitable, and just warm people. I have more good things to say, but I'll just leave it at that. If you're into asian food, go here and you won't be disappointed unless you prefer your food very traditional. Fusion lovers would love this place. It's a nice blend of familiar yet new flavors. And lastly, if you just appreciate high quality food, visit this place and support these, well-deserving people.

Kid-friendliness: Food was excellent. Jay the waiter spent time talking with me on the Philippines subjects I brought up and his start of this terrific business. Jay even greeted me to get me parked with a semi truck. They are very accommodating to you also. Once you eat the food, you will see why they are so busy. Fresh food made excellently in different styles or flares of italian, french, brazilian, etc etc added to their already great Filipino food. Thank you next door provisions.

A long overdue review on an AMAZING restaurant. Can’t recommend Next Door Provisions enough! My husband and I enjoyed the food ?️ and ambiance so much that we came back the following day. Not only is the food delicious and creative, but it was special to get to know the owners - James and Ruby (chef) - personally!Between both days we tried so many dishes and all of them were fantastic. For mains we had the kare kare mafaldini, spicy chicken ramen, grilled cheese, biscuits & gravy, and tortang talong (eggplant omelette). For dessert, we had the carrot cake, ube Basque cheesecake, and both types of cookies (blueberry white chocolate and chocolate chip). Hard to pick a favorite and looking forward to rounding out the menu with friends and family later this month. If this restaurant were in downtown JC or NYC you wouldn’t find a table. Just hope we always find a spot!

This place is awesome! I'm Filipino so I'm pretty much programmed to automatically like any Filipino dish you put in front of me, but this place is definitely something special. You can feel the thought and love they put into every dish, and the service is unbeatable. One of the owners shared the history behind some of the dishes, and having that piece of knowledge made everything infinitely more delicious . Can't wait to dine here again!

I’ve been here a couple times - once for a kamayan meal and another for a Maui fundraiser. It’s a really cozy and friendly local spot with delicious Filipino food. I hope to go to more of their special events soon!

There is a reason why this restaurant has exclusively 5 star reviews. The food here is absolutely amazing! I came with my wife last weekend for lunch and everything was so yummy that we came back the next day for brunch. There are many restaurants that provide high quality food, but not many that provide an elevated, special experience like Next Door Provisions. All dishes have some "twist" to them, some special ingredient that really makes them taste different and that's what makes this place so great. On top of that, the service and ambience are top notch! James and chef Ruby have created something special and I can't wait to come back and taste everything in the menu.Specifically, over our 2 visits, we had the Spicy chicken ramen, grilled cheese, kare kare mafaldini, biscuits and gravy and eggplant omelette. The mafaldini is an absolute treat and my favorite but I would easily have all of them again. Their carrot cake is a must try as well!
