Today I visited Sammy’s halal unfortunately, my experience left me disappointed and disheartened. The treatment I received was nothing short of discriminatory, unprofessional, and inconsiderate.Upon arriving at the restaurant on a bitterly cold night at 9:30, my friend and I were shocked to find ourselves denied entry inside. To add insult to injury, we observed the staff allowing someone else indoors to wait comfortably although dining is open till 8pm, leaving us to shiver in the freezing cold. The disparity in treatment was stark and unexplained, leaving us feeling devalued as customers.

I love this place, I used to come here almost every day for the Chicken over rice platter when I went to St.Peters. I might be a little biased due to the nostalgia but I think this place has the best bang for your buck halal food anywhere, highly recommend their platters and slices of cake. The platters start at $9.99 but if u add extra white sauce or hot sauce it's an extra dollar which I think is worth.

Don’t waste your time to order from here, because they never follow how they have to make it. Gyro without hot sauce and white sauce like we are paying for free food. Getting food from them for free.

The man working there is too much over confident, we even explained him into the doors dash app and then we call him also, he said I know I know and ordered receive with burn meat, no white sauce and hot sauce. And they are charging 15$ for that combo! Ridiculous.

Service is great, food is consistently good. You really should grab anything over rice here, it's all great. Additionally everything is reasonably well priced.
It's not a pretty place but it's not meant to be. It's like a pizza place or Chinese takeout BUT...the staff is very friendly and the food is excellent and a great value. Loved it and will definitely be going back!

Oh yeah. My wife loves their fried chicken. I always get a lamb platter. Nice selection of vegetables and beans for the salad and very reasonably priced. I have pretty much made this my Friday night treat.

Best Halal food restaurant in Jersey City! The chicken over rice was very delicious I 100% recommend everyone to try it. Very yummy food. They even have free parking, which is hard to find in Jersey City.
