A once great spot goes south!!! I have dined here many times before, but as of recent months the service (especially), and food quality (not as fresh tasting) has been very lack luster. I tried giving this place another go by stopping in after work tonight with a co-worker to have an early birthday dinner. The manager noticed that my co-worker and I came in, and turned her back to us. Then a very friendly gentleman asked her if he could seat us, to which she replied to him that they can order take out. The gentleman then replied, "we can only do take out at the moment." I replied, "awww...." and before I could even finish my statement the manager (woman) rudely cuts in (first time saying a word to us by the way) to inform us that the kitchen closes at 9:30pm. At the time it was 9:28pm, and as I went to bring to her attention to the fact that we were just in time, she replies curtly again, "the kitchen closes at 9:30pm, and last seating is at 9:15pm." I guess they didn't need the business, even with having a basically empty restaurant. I won't be bringing them my business any time soon either. It's just very disappointing that this is what their level of service has become. I have brought so many people here, and spent multiple occasions at this restaurant. I've seen bartenders, servers, and even management come and go. Change is not always a bad thing, but in this particular case this place could use a serious refresher.

My one pet peeve is places that don’t refill soda from a fountain. You especially need soda with high sodium food. Congratulations, you just lost a $100 ticket a few times a month to save a few cents on syrup.

Honestly, just because you have to pay for each soda. It’s a fountain drink. Why no free refills!!! Food was good

As we were greeted as soon as we came in by a very lovely lady at the front counter, we were immediately seated with the waiter, coming out very promptly and taking care of every knee. As soon as something was finished it was removed as soon as you needed something they were right there some of the best service I’ve ever had in my life. It’s hard to find and the food is absolutely amazing. Is one of the best nights I’ve had out at dinner and well over a year year.

Terrible experience they told us there was a 20% gratitude fee when we walked In the door for 3 people one including a child, like if we were not going to tip our waiter. We sat down and got comfortable when we were ready to order they had the audacity to say there’s no lobster, why not tell us that you don’t have lobster at the door or put a sign up saying your out on lobster for the day. the vibe was completely off it felt like they didn’t want us there. Nevertheless it was my wife birthday she had a birthday crown, and no one wished her a happy birthday beside a cooker from the back that brought the food from the back he was the only one with a positive vibe. I’ve been told to come here for quite some time just to be extremely disappointed. The food was great but the service was trash.

The seafood was very fresh and the seasoning was great. The snow crab legs were very satisfying to eat. Clams were also fresh and clean without sand.Potatoes were a bit tasteless which was disappointing - I was hoping they'd absorb flavor from the seafood! This bag plus a side would be enough for 2 ppl. Otherwise you may need a snack in a few hours!

Best place for crab in Jersey City. Relaxed atmosphere, family friendly, good portions, great taste! Location is great if you want to walk it off or get a drink / dessert nearby afterwards…

We love going to the Boil. The food is amazing and the service was always great but not this time. The female waitress who also was a host was very unaccommodating. The place was freezing because for some reason they opened all the doors while 55 outside and the waitress declined to give us a table further in the back where it would be warmer. The food took forever and she barely was checking on us and definitely had an attitude. Good for them for automatically adding the gratuity on the checks. I would not be tipping her 20% for such an awful service.
