The food is delicious and customer service is AMAZING! They always go the extra mile - in the two times I’ve ordered I’ve received some free appetizers/sides. For Valentine’s Day they included a heart-shaped balloon and a rose! The personal touch is much appreciated, and it’s the cherry on top of the food that was already super tasty.

Ordered to go. The lady up front was super nice. However, the food wasn’t super fresh. We got a headless shrimp and snow crab combo and some fried oysters. The fried oysters were great! We loved those. However, the shrimps tails were stuck straight when boiled, which I heard meant they were dead for a while before cooking and the crab meat was slightly mushy and soft, which after googling we realized also meant it wasn’t fresh. This was Thursday night for reference. Quite concerning for us. :(

I’ve eaten at basically every seafood restaurant in Jersey City. THS is, without a doubt, the best seafood in Jersey City.The menu is simple, but the combinations of spices and toppings make for endless possibilities. Prices are reasonable and the ingredients are fresh and cooked to order. Somehow, the food travels extremely well — better than almost any other takeout food — and remains piping hot even after a 10 minute walk home, every time. This speaks to the service, which is so great, and open late.This small, humble, restaurant out-punches its weight and should be a stop on any seafood lovers list.A jewel of Journal Square!

First timer here. Extra points for decent fries, which most places can't manage. That said, please call them something other than cajun fries because there isn't enough cajun seasoning on them to qualify them as such (still good though - maybe call them High Fries after the restaurant).I got the catfish with fries, and the garlic butter baby clams (at least I think they were the baby clams - they were very small).I was looking for a "fish fry" type of fish (meaning a cornmeal coating) which this was not. It was just ok - probably wouldn't order it again. If you have a corn starch/flour type coating, you need to ramp up the seasoning big time. But the clams were so good. I will say the medium spice level is actually a lot hotter than medium (IMO) but I'd def get them again and just choose mild.

It's one of the best meals I've had in my life! ?We ordered the family meal and had the house special sauce in medium spicy. Literally everything is amazing! The girl who answered the phone is super nice too.We had to order from grubhub, although I'd have loved to be able to order directly from the restaurant and have it delivered.Anyways 10/10 experience ?
