I feel like this place is far under appreciated during a time when eating in general is extremely expensive . Tropix is nestled between 2 of my daily work sites in Lincoln Park and sits opposite of a lot of competition. Tropix serves your typical Caribbean foods from Puerto Rico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic (Rice, beans, and some sort of meat). The restaurant is a Dominican restaurant and operated by them. It was formerly a Guayanese restaurant. The selection is not that large. The food is okay, but not the best I have tasted in the area. The yellow rice is not good.
