South Indian restaurants in the Jersey City Journal Square area are a pretty good choice. They offer a variety of options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The service is decent and they also have a buffet available on weekends at specific times. It's a nice spot, especially if you're a vegetarian. We enjoyed the food overall, although the atmosphere felt a bit crowded despite the ample space. Overall, it was alright.Vegetarian options: Dosa, uttapam, idly, curries etc

Food was absolutely pathetic. Poor quality and not worth. The daal makhani was yellow in color and had hardly any daal (lentils) bits. The vegetable had watery gravy and tasted very poorly cooked. Overall very poor quality food. The supervisor/manager named Aniruddh was extremely rude and unprofessional when given a feedback and kept pushing back unnecessarily, failing to take a customer feedback in the right stride, even though the other staff was agreeing to our feedback on the food quality . Overall not a good experience at all and rather try other restaurants next to Vaibhav if looking for decent food with courteous manager.

Tiffins were not so great but all the veg and non veg curries from thali are so good and very tasty. Definitely would recommend anyone looking for a perfect dinner in a good atmosphere.

Ordered food via GrubHub and delivery was supposed to be at 9:35 PM. I called the restaurant to ask for an update at 10:02 PM, and was told the driver had already left. At 10:30 I reached out to GrubHub to let them know the food wasn't here. Per their policy and the food being 45+ minutes late, they refunded my money. I receive a call from the restaurant asking to pay for the food, which was delivered 1 hour late, the food was cold, and she wouldn't accept no. Ended up paying to support local Indian business, however, I won't ever be going there nor ordering from them. This is very poor and disappointing service.
