Food is in excellent flavor and quality. Very authentic Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood. Had a wonder experience ordering takeout, and will come back to this place again in the future.

Gem Bistro in Kearny, NJ, deserves a solid four stars from me. While the suan cai yu (pickled fish soup) fell a bit short in terms of broth and flavor, the crispy pork scoop and the fried fish filets stole the show with their excellent taste, especially the cumin-spicy flavor. The diverse menu featuring many traditional Chinese dishes adds to the appeal. With a mix of hits and misses, Gem Bistro is a gem for those seeking a variety of authentic Chinese flavors.

They have a different cooking style and different dishes than other Chinese restaurants I've been too. I like their fried rice and their spicy noodles soups.

it is a very tiny take out restaurant. But the Chinese food there is authentic. Very delicious and affordable. Despite the small size, it deserves a five star

I saw on Xiaohongshu that this restaurant was recommended by others to have sheep and scorpions. I searched and it was very close to home, so I came to try it. The quantity and taste are not bad, and there are side dishes, enough for two people.

Unassuming GEM literally.Everything is amazing, the chicken with dried chill peppers, just awesome food. Not where you would go for a fancy date, but if your date likes good food, this is the place!

The food materials were horrible. Shrimps and onions in fried rice were raw, and the oil they used was smelly, the vegetables in Malayan were all raw. The foods tasted horrible after we waited for 30 minutes. It was just ridiculous to wait outside in cold. The worst part was that we had stomachache after tasted a little bit of the foods.I’ll never recommend this one. It’s my first and last time to eat at this dirty place. Please choose carefully. It’s your health, my friends there.Vegetarian options: Worst choose of old leaves.

Legit Szechuan kitchen. There are 2 small tables but the place is really set up for takeout/delivery orders.Beware English isn't their strongest point and there's a fee for credit but the food makes up for their shortcomings. I have ordered many times.
