I love this restaurant I can't visit as much as I used to since I moved out of New Jersey to Pennsylvania but whenever I come into town I definitely gotta make my way to Crabbae.

Horrible experience You always want to support black owned but the service was horrible. Food took awhile to come out and mind you it came out before the hookah. When hookah did arrive it wasn't pulling. The food was cold it wasn't bad but cold I had shrimp and chicken pasta. They didn't have oxtail they didn't have half and half. Service slowwwww but don't matter to them cause gratuity already included. SMH

One toilet and it gets very crowded. Food takes too long and one of my shrimp was cold. The lady manager was rude and impersonal when I entered the restaurant. It felt like she was reading me my rights. They don't offer no bread or water; you just sit there waiting 30 minutes or more for your appetizer. My lobster tail was a tad bit dry. Our waitress was friendly and that was a plus.

The stuffed shrimps were not worth the price. They were cold, fishy, and small. Was definitely not fresh. Not kid friendly. The butter sauce had no flavor and was very oily. Had a red tint.

A true diamond in the rough! The executive chef is amazing! The servers were amazing, Tati and Ayanna are amazing as well. Will be going back for take out and to chill there, Friday nights was the first night and time there, well WORTH IT!

As far as food it was good , very big portions. Fairly priced. My waiter was nice and polite but as far as the greeting lady with the nasty attitude makes me never want to come back again. Would I suggest for someone else to go ? Yes it will I return unfortunately no.

My friend and I had a reservation for 4:15pm. The host had to clean off two tables before sitting us. Once we were seated we weren't asked if we wanted drinks or appetizers. We waited for 20 minutes before the waitress asked if we wanted drinks. After taking our drink order we were brought a can and a bottled water, sliced lemon with the sticker still on it, then a couple minutes later we were brought glasses, then a couple more minutes went by before we were brought ice in a recycled orange juice container. (These items were not requested separately) . One of our meal orders had a wait time of 25-30mins however our appetizer took 45mins and we were given a dirty plate to eat it on. Before any food came out, a male, im assuming is the owner walked to the table and rudley said “y'all wanted me”. We were confused because we didn't asked for him and he did not greet us before talking to us. After we explained our concerns he apologized for the wait and went to check on out food. He then came back and said that the ticket for the appetizer was dropped and the order was not put in. 10 minutes later the waitress came out with the appetizer. Our entrees took about 15 more minutes. I have no complaints about the food but the overall experience was lacking to say the least. We were told the appetizer would be taken off because of the long wait time but it was not, instead the price of the appetizer was discounted, which the owner took off $4.53. And we were charged 18% gratuity for a party of 2. All in all, my reservation was for 4:15pm and we did not receive our food until 5:27pm. Moving forward, I think that the long extended wait times should be explained to customers when seating them:

Seafood very good, extremely loud Soul music with heavy beat on Sunday afternoon. Wait staff barely tolerant of Boomers

While the food was very good, the environment was very uncomfortable. Extremely loud "deep soul" music with floor shaking bass on a Sunday afternoon. The wait staff lined us up and dictated the rules. They appeared unfriendly and barely tolerated our group of (4) ""Boomers" we took our meals home to eat, and tried to get our hearing to recover and reduce the headaches.

Before visiting Crabbae, I read the mixed reviews and wasn't sure what to expect. I went in with the mindset to expect the worst and hope for the best. I will start with the negatives which ultimately made me give the overall rating of 4 stars. Before being seated, we were told how to access the menu through the QR Code and their rules. One of the rules was that we have 2 hours only. I found this a really weird thing to say. Once seated, it took 20 minutes before we were served. Because I expected this, I was fine with this. Also, I could see that the reason for the slow service was that they are under staffed. Now onto the good stuff. The food was excellent. I found the staff to be friendly and I also enjoyed the atmosphere and music. I will definitely go back. They just need extra staff. It would be awesome if they got a liquor license as well. Crabbae easily has the potential to be a 5 star joint with excellent service.

We arrived at 10 mins late however they do offer a 20 min grace period. We got seated shortly after. The music is club loud. You have to scream to speak to your party. The food took about 35-40 mins and it was ok with large portions. What will keep me from going back is the 2hr table time. Your time starts from the moment you sit down. Then after you are basically put out. Honestly, I've never been put out of a restaurant. I respect their policy, however, it just not for me.

Vibes were great, definitely come on the weekend if you want music the DJ was good. Food came out in decent time and was very tasty. I got a huge piece of salmon with my pasta which i appreciated. Also Love that this spot is BYOB. FYI There is a $10 bottle charge which is decent compared to other places I've been. I enjoyed my time at crabbae.

Although the food was cold, it was still delicious; the overall experience was a bummer! My reservation was for six or so, but I had to stand for about 20 minutes to be seated. The service was not that bad, but the place itself has a lot going on. There were people eating, smoking hookah, and twerking at the same time! Not the type of place I would frequent.

We reserved for 8 but the table was set for 6 when we got there, so we had to wait until another party finished eating and left. They asked if we could wait outside because they said there was a lot of take out people walking in and out. It was freezing outside. There's no parking so we had to park a block away and walk back to our cars then back to the restaurant when the table was ready. The ambiance was ok. They had a dj (the music was really loud, but the owner had him turn it down after a while). The dj played good music. The lights were turned off and they put little lamps on the table. It was cute, but made it hard to see the food we were eating. Another table actually turned the ceiling fan light on that was above their table and all of the other tables started laughing and agreeing that we needed light. The server was very sweet and accommodating. She looked as if she was overwhelmed, but every time she came to our table she had the softest voice and a smile. The food took about an hour to come out. The kids food came out first and we sat and watched them eat. Then ours came out after they finished eating and they sat and watched us eat. I was very disappointed in the service (outside of our server). Last, but definitely not least, the food was delicious! Everything we ordered was scrumptious! We all enjoyed the taste of the food. Two of our orders came out wrong, but that could've been because the music was so loud when she took our order that she might've heard things mistakenly. I wouldn't go back to sit and eat with family, but I would order take out and go for a girls night out or something like that.
