I've been a longtime patron of Backyard Grill in Kenilworth, NJ, and it used to be a favorite spot of mine. However, my recent experience was unfortunately disappointing. Despite my anticipation for a delicious steak sandwich, the order was completely botched. Determined to give the place another chance, I opted for chicken tenders and fries, placing an order over the phone to streamline the process. Regrettably, upon arrival, my order was nowhere to be found, adding to my frustration. When I finally received my meal, the chicken tenders were overly greasy, making them difficult to enjoy. In fact, they were among the worst I've ever tasted. This experience was disheartening, especially considering my fond memories of the place. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, as this visit has left a sour taste in my mouth.

I called in my order for pickup. They got my order wrong and my name wrong. I ordered a whole chicken and full order of beef ribs with rice, fries, and black beans. When I got there, my name was wrong and they made half a chicken and half beef ribs. I had to wait an extra 25 minutes on top of the original 35 minutes to get my correct whole chicken and 4 beef ribs with sides. I live a half a block away and when I got home the chicken was cold, burned, and dry. The beef was cold, dry, overcooked to well done when I ordered medium. The fries and Spanish potatoes were cold, browned, overcooked, and hard. It’s like they never change the dirty fryer oil. The only thing edible was the rice and black beans, although they were cold. These Brazilians take no pride in their product and don’t know anything about barbecue. They don’t seem to care. Save yourself the time and money and avoid this place at all costs. You will regret eating here and definitely ordering food for pickup. I have regretted every time I ordered from here. This place is trash.

Terrible establishment, 40 minute wait for a quesadilla and chorizo sandwich. Place is empty except a family friend of the guy behind the bar that was picking his nose. This establishment is empty keep in mind. We asked the waiter about our food after half an hour she said two minutes ten pass by. We asked to pay for our soda to leave and she hands us the bill for our whole meal which we hadn't recieved yet after 40 minutes of waiting in an empty resturant as if we were the butt end of a joke. Please save yourself time and never come here. Sadly jimmys buffs was closed for vacation so we decided to stop here, one of the worst mistakes in my life.
