This review is almost two years overdue. We chose this place for our “last” meal in Jersey before moving to the west coast and it did not disappoint. The food is better than some popular Italian restaurants in the city.

We took my mom for her 82nd birthday last night. I can't say enough about this restaurant. The food is beyond amazing. Real authentic homeade Italian food you don't find at too many places. The Chef/Owner came out to say hello and meet us. Such a nice and humble guy. The manager and waitress couldn't be nicer. I highly recommend this delicious restaurant. You WILL NOT be disappointed. The BEST around!!!!!!

The Stracciatella soup is hot and made to order. Crispy calamari and the grilled octopus are very good. The NY strip was perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes were a very thick, heavy consistency. The homemade gnocchi are heavy and doughy. The Tiramisu and Cream Brule are excellent, as is the Affagato.

Absolutely amazing food, decor and service.Roasted grilled octopus awesome, burrata ravioli, the double cut pork chop melt in your mouth, the Pietro burger was dynamite and the pistachio bread pudding was to die for.Kid-friendliness: Bambino menu

Casa Di Pietro is by far the best restaurant in the area. The mussels are the best I have ever had and the Chef always has new and exciting options for specials. I noticed some reviews stating that the atmosphere is loud. Its most likely from everyone raving about how good the food is.

The food was one of the best that I've had in a very long time. We started with the calamari which was tender and cooked perfectly! For my main, I had the pappardelle with short ribs in vodka sauce and my wife had the truffle burrata raviolis. We split a tiramisu which was also Amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves quality Italian food.
Service was wonderful love the atmosphere. The food is consistently delicious and presented beautifully. Portions could be a bit larger based on price especially the fried calamari.

Portions are small. The dinning area can be noisey.

Unimpressed. Food felt heavy in my stomach that evening. My date did not like his dish either. The service was nice but impersonal fake and rushed. Why is my server asking me where I live? We did not like and won’t go back again. It really isn’t that great. It’s as if all the other tables wanted us to hear their conversations - very loud. I don’t understand the hype.
