Been here many times , but not in a while. Only one bartender for over 80 people. Saw a number of folks get up and leave. I Came hoping for a nice irish neighborhood bar atmosphere, but there was some kind of DJ trivia event going on, music was blasting. Like being in a disco.

We had our son’s first birthday party upstairs in The Loft this past weekend. Everything was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious, the staff were there to help every step of the way and the space itself is beautiful. We were even able to set up a soft play area which kept the kids occupied from start to finish. We took a chance not knowing anyone else who hosted a party here and I am so glad we did. Thank you for the most perfect day for our boy!

We celebrated a 40th birthday party yesterday at Mcdonaghs in my hometown, Keyport. It was amazing from beginning to end! A special thank you to Justin , Kim , and Alexa for doing a wonderful job! I definitely recommend Mcdonaghs for good food and a good time! ???

We had the fried calamari which was overcooked. We also had boneless wings and truffle mac & cheese. All 3 appetizers were not up to par. We have been going there on and off for the past 12 years and the quality of food has gone down. No complaints about the pizza. hoping this place will get back to better quality. We are not going to give up on this place quite yet

First time here.. ordered a drink at the bar and asked how seating worked and they said sit anywhere.. we picked a table and a very rude server walked over and barked these tables are reserved.. so we moved but asked not to be by a window because it’s cold.. they sat us at a dirty table right by the back door.. we asked the dark haired bartender to clean the table and she gave us a dirty look and thru a dry towel to the server .. worst service ever .. food was good.. i guess they don’t like new customers

UPDATE review!! This is our goes to spot being that we live in town tonight we ordered food for the Super Bowl. We ordered two pizzas two orders of wings and amazing nachos. Everything was excellent and fresh win-win.
We visited Mcdonaghs on a Friday evening for a live music event with the Nine Deez Nite band (which is great by the way) and had a positive experience. Please note that I had made a reservation through the Open Table site for a high top table for the latest available time slot of 9pm but when we arrived there all tables had already been removed. The only available tables were low/regular tables at a different dining area away from the band. The positive side is that by removing the tables near the band the dance floor was more spacious but they shouldn’t allow reservations if they are going to remove tables. We ended up seating at the bar. They have some beer specials after 9pm ($12 domestic pitcher) which is a good deal. Domestic pints are $4 which is also a good deal. Food is also decent. I had the buffalo wings which were tasty and we also had a margherita pizza which was very thin but tasty as well. Keep in mind that after 10pm they only offer the late night menu with limited choices and I believe this goes until midnight. The bartenders, especially the blonde lady, are helpful and friendly. Also there’s plenty of street parking and a public parking lot in the back so if you go during the evening like we did I don’t think you will have trouble finding parking especially because it’s a quiet area and not so much going on around McDonaghs.Parking: Plenty of street parking in addition to a public parking lot nearby.
