If you've ever seen the movie BIG NIGHT, this place has the same vibe. Part of me wants to not even review it because I don't want it to get crowded and ruined, but the food is so incredible and the people that work there are the nicest people on earth, so I have to do it. We went there about a month ago and then brought back four friends last night. (Our waitress was, I think, one of the owners--she was so happy and kind.) They all told me that they feared I was overselling it, but once they got there and ate, they were believers! If I could afford it, I'd eat here once a week. The food is--literally--inspiring. It makes me want to learn how to cook. How can people make stuff this good?

I've been back three times, and have two reservations with different friends for next week. This place keeps meeting the high criteria I have for fresh, flavorful, inventive, perfectly cooked Italian food. And if you're celebrating a birthday, ask Gina (in advance of the day) to create their tiramisu birthday cake platter with mini cannoli, sfogliatelle, and biscotti. Oh. My. God.

I almost do not want to review this restaurant, because they are that good. I am Italian and generally do not enjoy Italian food out, but Mercato's is the exception. The restaurant is small, and I don't want to be turned away if there aren't tables available. But in the same breath, who am I to deny them the good business and fortune which they deserve? One of the best meals I ever had in my life. This is true italian food away and it's made from homemade. I loved the service and I really enjoyed how everyone was very nice and pleasan. I will be. Definitely coming back to eat here soon.

Stopped in for dessert and vino and it didn't disappoint! We had the gelato and the cab pictured below. You need to call ahead, the stop seating at 6:30 but it's a must see. True Italian food. And the best part of the menu is you can order one of their chef dishes as well as ANY classic Italian dish that isn't on the menu. Bon Appetito!
