Absolutely disgusting. I traveled an hour and a half to spend new year’s eve here despite all of the bad reviews ( should’ve listened to them). We were having a good night with friends and when I went to use the bathroom towards the end of the night a older woman(50+) who worked there bursted into the girls bathroom and started screaming and banging on all the stalls saying “get the f$@k out your taking too long” (there was no line and no one was acting rowdy in the bathroom). I went into my stall and not even 10 seconds later she started slamming on my door and looking through the crack! Once I was done i opened the door and told her that i had just gotten into the stall, this women must of had an ego trip going because she looked at me and said “ oh so you wanna be a wise guy” aggressively grabbed my shoulders and pushed me out of the bathroom and continued to push me out of the bar. I don’t know why this bar thinks this is acceptable in any way to conduct a business with “bouncers” that don’t know how to do their job. After they kicked two girls out of the bar at 12:30 at night by themselves we asked to speak to the manager or get the women’s name who grabbed us, the male bouncer at the door said he was going to call the cops. I will never return to this bar and i strongly advise people to go to ANY other bar at the jersey shore then this one because it is not worth the trouble or disrespect.

I feel like the reviews here are skewed towards the ability to get into the bar, what they accept as ID and the overall bartenders. No comment about that since I had no problem in that area. However, there is also food served at this establishment. And that is what my review focuses on. The sliders were cooked to perfection, and the Bavarian pretzel was delicious. If this is any indication of the rest of the food items at this restaurant, I would definitely be back. Please read through all of the reviews and understand what you are going there for.

Extremely rude and aggressive bouncers/security. Every time I come here, either myself or someone else has an issue with security. I gave it a few tries but I will no longer be giving my money to this establishment.

Tried to get in twice. The first time they let everyone in except the one African American in our group. A few weeks later, we tried it again and they let everyone in except the one Hispanic male that was with us. Coincidence, I don't think so. Something needs to be done about this!

DO NOT WASTE UR TIME HERE. I am appalled. I understand being strict about Identification, but if my ID is clearly legitimate and you ask for a SECOND form of ID (which i only keep on my phones apple wallet because i lose everything) and then don't let me in that is wrong. And weird.ALSO my friend was able to get in, stepped outside for a breath of air and to call her boyfriend, when she went to go back inside they made her wait in the line again, show her ID AGAIN, and then the bouncer told her no because she had a duplicate????? Because she had to order one because she lost her other?? AND SHE HAD ALREADY PAID THE COVER FEE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?? THEN Letting her wander around drunk outside by herself when all the rest of her friends were still in the bar. And she was JUST in there with them and stepped out for a second.. I hate it. Disgusting way to treat paying customers.

I know this is popular place but seriously- the "music" is so loud to cannot hear yourself think let alone hear any conversation among the people you came in with and presumably would like to hear about. On the night of Aug 4- second set they had a woman up wit the band who screeched so loud yea duo horribly we had to leave. Fngernails on a chalk board. The other issue is the prices they charge for drinks- $17 for a cocktail!!! It is cheaper at Maxims of Paris. Over priced and overloud- find another place to go enjoy an evening.

The worst staff out of all the bars at the jersey shore. A bartender misbehaved with me and when I responded back, she called the bouncers on me and got me kicked out of the bar. They should remember that without customers they won't have a job. Do me a favor and don't visit this place. There are plenty of other bars at the Jersey shore that are much better than this.

What is there to say about Bar A??? The biggest, happiest, most crowded, most exciting scene on the Jersey Shore. Nothing else compares or even comes close! Legend has it that the Fourth of July crowd was the single largest gathering in a bar in America. Eight bars, all different, sand bars, kiosks, dancing, picnicking , fun food, barbecue, etc. like a family gathering on a massive scale. If you can't have fun here, something is wrong with your life!

What a nice surprise at the Jersey Shore-- mostly baby boomers for this particular band --but what a nice surprise to find such lovely accommodating staff that wanted to make sure we were happy including the young waiters and waitresses who were very sweet. Food was very good which was also not expected and the band was great! We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back.

It's the best restaurant in the area. Especially when compared to the horrible, overpriced and maybe carcinogenic products of Berg's Smoked Meats and disco fries around the corner. This is more than bar food ,if you want it to be. Great onion soup, hummus ,club sandwich and tequila chicken. Yuengling on draft for under 5 bucks. Great service. At our age we don't frequent the outside bars like we all did in the past. That's where the negatives reviews come from. Entitled, liberal snowflake jerks who never got past the bouncers.

Very unassuming place from the outside but it's a real fun spot. Reasonably priced drinks, TVs, multiple hangout locations and bars. My friend has the shrimp cocktail and liked it a lot. Would def go back!
