Wow, I have been looking for a bakery because LaScala’s in toms River went downhill. I don’t know what happened over here they don’t even know what real butter is anymore or the cookies taste the same the cannoli cream and the French cream I don’t even know what kind of ingredients they put into it but I think they get it at the dollar tree. We were on our way to visit friends in Lakewood and saw Elisa's Bakery. We wanted to bring some dessert to their home so we stopped there. The variety of the baked goods was unending so it was hard to decide! Settled on a scrumptious blueberry/cheese cake and some almond paste cookies with pignoli nuts on top. These were so delicious that I cannot stop thinking about them. Do yourself a favor and pop in here. You'll be back!
