A Jersey Shore staple, Runners' conspicuous presence along Route 35N is easy to miss if you're a first timer.However stop in for dinner just one evening and you'll be sure to never miss it again. A seafood market by day, it's no surprise that every meal tastes ridiculously fresh.Portions are always generous and pricing is very fair; even sometimes seeming much cheaper than competing restaurants.I've yet to ever have a bad meal at Runners!And if the dining room is full one night, don't shy away from takeout! The food is always well prepared so you don't lose a bit of flavor when opening it up on your back deck during a cool summer evening.Kid-friendliness: Vast selection of kid-friendly options that extends beyond just chicken fingers!

Super friendly service (very patient with kids) and great, fresh food. Indulged in the marathon (double surf plus turf) and it was very satisfying. Wife scallops and shrimp were sweet too.

Delicious!!! We come to the area every year and usually go to Rockafellas By the Sea, which sadly is no longer open for dine in. Runners Fish Market and Restaurant had the best reviews in the town for Italian and they did not disappoint! We came early at 5:30 this evening and were immediately greeted and sat at a table. Good thing we came early because the place was packed shortly after and there were people waiting outside as well. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We started with some bread and butter, mussels with a garlic butter sauce, and a Caprese salad. Everything was so good. Even better than Rockafella's, I have to say. For our main entree, we chose the lobster ravioli with shrimp, scallops, eggplant, and spinach in a vodka type pink sauce. The ravioli itself was good but definitely could've used more lobster. It tasted more just like cheese ravioli but it was still yummy. We ended with a slice of key lime pie. The consistency was similar to cheesecake which I actually liked. Flavor was lacking a bit though but it was still tasty. They made us a fresh pot of coffee too! To end the night, we bought one of their cool shirts that all the staff was wearing. $20 for a shirt which I thought was a great price! Overall, this place was wonderful. Good food, no frills, nice people. You can't go wrong down the shore. It's just the best place to be.

What impressed me right off the bat was the last table they sat us at was a table for 5 and we were a party of 3. They could have kept us waiting for a smaller table to become available but they did not. 5 stars out of the gate. I thought the food overall was good. Not great and not bad. A solid good. I ordered fried shrimp and my shrimp was cooked perfectly as far as right amount of time cooked. The only issue I really had was value as far as price to what you get. The entree was roughly $28 and I felt like you could have gotten a little more for a $28 price. Now I know right now your all saying "guy $28 isn't a car payment for an entree". I also think that but the $28 price tag didn't live up to what you got. That's all I'm saying . 3 weeks ago we spent $400 on a family dinner that I absolutely LOVED and I felt like the value was worth what you got. This meal with tip totaled $120 so I guess I should be very happy. All in all I would go back but I know it's a solid 3 star. Nothing more nothing less.

We went here for dinner while we were on vacation mid July and it was delicious! the seafood was fresh and so tasty. The staff was so nice and our server waa great. They brought out crayons and paper for my grandkids to color and then they hung them on the wall. One of the staff even took out a live lobster from the tank so my grandson could touch it. Loved this place. Try it you won't be disappointed!

Food was excellent. Drove from Hamilton nj to get good seafood for my birthday and lucked out. Calamari appetizer...yum. salad yum. My husband and I both got broiled combo seafood platters ..delicious. small restaurant. Half of building is a fresh seafood market. Friendly staff and owner.

First time here n the food is the best. Had my appetizer n It was alot already. This would be my new seasfood place to go from now on. Service was very good. Will definitely recommend it to anyone I know.Parking: After the good service n the good food, the parking is not a biggie! I can walk a block or 2 just to come here n eat. Lol
