“I really love what the owner, Woobin, has done for the space that was prior to now, an unsuccessful Korean bakery. He really brought it to life with his creative abilities that spill into interior design and not just his signature dishes he's perfected in the kitchen.Lately though, with the expansion of the business and increasing traffic of customers, I've noticed he's recruited the assistance of additional members of his team to help manage the restaurant. The owner and his business partner, A, will always be like family to me. I've been here for them since the beginning and it's really beautiful to see how they've evolved and cultivated a cult level status of love from all the locals in this area, not exclusive to only Leonia.Other than the one unfriendly lady working there, it's always a good and happy time at the one and only SS. Happy munching and snacking!! :)”
“You have to go to Wolf It. The sandwiches are GREAT. Lots of choices for sandwiches and salads. If you are a vegetarian (I am) there is something there for you, too. I had the mozzarella sandwich. Delicious. The Mozz is made fresh daily. Can't get any better than that.Don't be scared by the prices. Compared to Subway and others, you are getting what you paid for. My wife and I made it a dinner with each of our sandwiches. If you are hungry you won't be after eating. The regular sandwiches are cut in two and they are chock full of stuff. Not like the "other guys" where you can barely see what's in them. The service is great and the staff (two people when we went) is very friendly. This is privately owned and great to have in town. Let's support them. You won't go wrong. And the bread!!! The bread is so delicious. I could just eat a plain loaf myself.Go there. You won't be disappointed. It's mostly take out, but there are a few tables there.See you there.Parking: you can park around the block in a parking lot (car park), or park on the street if a space is available.”
“I have to leave a review because not only is the owner so sweet and welcoming, but the food is outstanding! We tried the egg rolls, bulgogi, kimbap and several side dishes. This is our new go to banchan & kimbap place. High quality ingredients!”
“My wife and I love Dante's. We came here for dinner on New Year's Eve without a reservation and they were happy to accommodate us on a very busy night. The food was all delicious and, tho a bit pricy came in great proportions, and the staff was great and attentive. Easily the best Italian restaurant in the neighborhood.”
“' Fried fish' Coconut rice with raisins' Black beans and chilly green sauce? 15 dollars'The food was goodDifferentiate between halal and haram according to your religion, Jazak Allah”
“Lovely Cafe, the staff is very friendly. The inside area is quite beautiful and there is ample seating available. Great place to relax on a weekend with friends, family, or by yourself with a coffee and a book or a notepad.”
“A highly recommended side dish restaurant! The new owner is really kind. The ingredients are fresh and there are a lot of different side dishes. The best is red pepper stew and sikhye! I always use it because it doesn't taste like seasoning and tastes just like mom's homemade side dish!! I'll go again next time!”
“Just land at Newark and stumbled across this restaurant. The staff quickly seated all 10 of us. They first served the complimentary tofu, kimchi, pickled veggies. I had the dumpling soup, which was spot on because I was feeling a little under the weather. Others had the spicy beef soup, short ribs soup, bibimbop, and fish. The food is so good!! We were surprised to get such good food for such a reasonable price. The only slightly negative is the we asked for separate checks but instead the split the bill evenly into 2 checks. When we explained the 2 people were on one order, they quickly fixed the mistake.”
“I have to be honest, there aren't many good Japanese restaurants in New Jersey. I've tried so many, but this one is hands down the best Japanese restaurant in NJ, period. The restaurant is owned and operated by Japanese people, so you know it's the real deal. Although I didn't have time to visit the restaurant this time, I ordered takeout and enjoyed it in my hotel room, and it was still very good.”
“If you ask them to hold the msg or sugar, or use less oil, they will accommodate you. I think this place has probably the best garlic sauce in the area. I ordered Kung pao chicken and I appreciated how they chopped the veggies small and shredded the chicken. Nothing worse than big chunks of meat. The general tso's had a nice smoky flavor. Garlic sauce was good. The only criticism was the egg roll, which did not have enough filling. I would pay more if they filled it up more.”
“Been here a handful of times so far. Food has been consistently excellent. The servers are friendly and fast. Atmosphere is very chill and it’s nice to be able to bring your own bottle of alcohol if you want. This has become our special occasion spot. Definitely worth the visit.”
“Best wonton soup. Courteous on the phone and ready within 7 to 12 min probably. Everything else I've had for years has been great. In front of a 166 bus stop and service and convenient to CVS and post office. Big after school hangout to be expected.Parking: Careful not to get a ticket.”
“The service is a bit slow when asking for a water refill or check after the meal, but the food is really delicious! Please keep doing business for a long time ♥”
“It was a great experience overall, but sadly the food was not at the standard of a good restaurant.Food was a bit cold, and sadly the veal was overcooked and chewy. But service and the ambience were great!!”
“We found great Vegan food in this shop and they tasted amazing. This restaurant was very clean and kids used its bathrooms; and they told us the bathrooms are spotless. The staffs always provided us great services each time we ate breakfasts and lunches. will definitely be back!”
“I never understood all of the critics of this location. I order all the time usually from my car and usually a minute away and the food and drinks are ALWAYS ready by the time I get there. They are super fast and never get anything wrong. What else do people expect from a DD location?!?”
“Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.”
“absolutely love this hidden gem. incredible food and super reasonably priced. great for lunch and dinner. must try korean in the city. scallops and octopus are UNREAL.”
“If you've been around NYC and vegetarian, you have almost definitely heard of Dirt Candy. It's the epitome of vegetarian fine dining in NYC.I will preface my review by stating that I have not grown up in the fine dining realm; there is probably some level of "appreciation" that I lack. That being said, the food here is great. Presentation, creativity, flavor experience are all on point. However, I couldn't justify the price for the food. I think if you are very curious and want to knock it off your bucket list OR you are someone into fine dining then this is perfect. Otherwise, there are restaurants that I think you get much better bang for your buck for in NYC.”
“One of my favorite spots in the city. Consistently amazing food ☺️This time we got the duck rolls, crab fried rice, and karee pu noodles. All delicious and worth a try! The crab in the rice & noodles were sooo good. My all time favorite dish has to be the koong karee (seriously recommend trying this). There isn’t an item on the menu I haven’t enjoyed. 10/10 grab a resy and grab some delicious Thai food ”
“10/10 highly recommend. Read about Potluck Club on the infatuation and they were spot on. Potstickers were delicious. The salt and pepper chicken was a first for me, but also delicious. And we had some noodle dish and added the hanger steak. Again delicious. Staff was so friendly and all busting their butts. Really nice to see them working as a team!”
“Curried goat patties, Snow Crab entree, best hummus dish ever and inventive strawberry short cake riff. Chill music vibe. Knowledgeable and attentive and most importantly genuinely friendly staff. Love this place.”
“Wow. I found this by searching for food nearby to the comedy cellar, and man did google nail it.I was sitting near the bar having a drink looking over the menu before I could actually get a seat. The staff were absolute legends, and we had a good conversation.Met a lady while she was waiting on her friend to show up. We sat down and chatted the whole time. She recommended the Filet, and I got it.Noticed there were Pommes Aligot on the menu and had to have it. I’ve only had this once in my life and had made it myself. It’s a PITA. It was delicious and I highly recommend this as your side.”
“Fantastic meal and fantastic overall experience sitting at the chefs counter. Highly recommend the Wagyu and uni supplements as well as the abalone extra course. For some reason they gave us our check well before we finished eating our final course. There wasn't another party waiting for our seats so it was a bit strange to be rushed”
“Great atmosphere in the evening at the bar. The dim lights really set the mood. The service was great and food was delicious. I’m not a big drinker but their cocktails were delicious.”
“the food is super good and the atmosphere is so comforting and relaxing! we got the arancini, soy butter bigoli, and the rigatoni, and they were all delicious! Kara was such a lovely and joyful waitress to have.”
“My friend and I ordered:Seafood pancakeDolsot Al bapDuck bulgogiSpicy monkfishCorn creme bruleeI would definately go back for the dolsot al bap and spicy monk fish dishes. The dolsot comes w a beautiful uni creme combined with the crispy bits of rice and textural experience of the fish roe was amazing. The Spicy monk fish had ~4 to 5 small pieces coated with smokey/spicy sauce and some veggies mixed w rice was a great combo.I personally judge a place on how crispy the seafood pancakes are and this was CRISPY. Definately would get again, it was also full of big chunks of seafood which is always a plus. The duck bulgogi was the least memoriable. It had the texture of duck but mainly just tastes like regular bulgogi.Corn creme brulee was sweet but overly sweet with a minimal corn flavor and some corn bits at the bottom.Service:9/10The waitress helping us get seatted for our rsvp were accomodating with grtting a seat closer to the wall vs the aisle. Our waiter was informative and had great sense when asking if we wanted to take any pictures/videos before mixing the Al bap for us.Also advising both of us to get two dishes before we ordered was helpful. Before peak hours, the atmosphere was pleasant. But, the tables are very close together and when its packed during peak hours it can be challenging speaking to one another due to the level of noise/conversation.”
“Chef Ed Szymanski is so talented, not only are his fish and chips legendary but so are the other dishes on the menu. Amazing fish entrees, creative food. Trust me, you need a reservation at Dame!”
“Food was incredible, but the service wasn’t the greatest. Our first waiter was lackluster, but the second waiter was great. Also the receptionist was a bit rude. Other than that, I’m still thinking about the espresso martini and oysters - they’re amazing!”
“Good sushi, good place, good people. They have a very cute decoration and a kid-friendly menu, too. One of the best sushi places in North Jersey.Kid-friendliness: The choo choo train that carries the plates is a big attraction for kids. The owners communicate so well with kids. They make cotton candy in front of kids and with them. And they have many options for picky kids. My 7 year-old daughter loved everything about this place.”
