Luckily for us there was no wait but I've been told there usually is and I can see why , plus the space is not that big. This cozy little spot won over a customer today. I loved that they have a bakery with freshly baked goodies that you can take to go. My husband and daughter sat right next to their book shelf and to our surprise they had toddler books that entertained my 3 year old while we waited for our meal . I ordered the log cabin latte to start , the waiter recommended it and it was delicious , also very interesting . It's a latte with a smoked espresso bacon on it, don't ask me why but it works - it gives the latte an amazing smokey flavor and it tastes great (featured in my pictures) . To eat my husband and I shared their blueberry pancakes , they were sold out of the pumpkin pancakes (guess I'll have to come back ) the pancakes were good. I also ordered the avocado toast with an over easy egg and it was great. My husband had the torta and he enjoyed it. I've got to say we enjoyed ourselves and plan to come back . I wish I had space for a pastry but I'll get that next time.

I mean you're not gonna find a cozier trendier brunch spot than this right here! Place was packed, chatter all over, awesome atmosphere- service was on point and extremely friendly! Now, the PEC on brioche was game changing - home made brioche I might add. The pastries fantastic and paired beautifully with the speciality coffee. Strong and flavorful blends - I like mine black and was wired. The OG chicken sandwich was another favorite of mine. From now on if my coffee isn't served with a smoked bacon garnish then I don't want. Must try spot for a quick bite, coffee or a casual weekend meal with the fam.

Such a cute name for an eatery leads you to an even better bite to eat or drink to sip. Love the rocking chairs outside the restaurant it looks like a front porch for a home. The service is amazing, I didn't catch the guys name at the register but he had the best smile, very friendly and was patient since I was a little unsure of what to try. I elected to try the BLT but the spin on this BLT was fries tomatoes and aioli....love the sandwich but didn't care for the bread it was a bit too thick for my liking. Added the moon milk coffee which was outstanding. There are several tables inside and a small counter where you can eat.....a huge selection of books available for you to grab off the bookshelves. Seats may be limited since this spot seems very popular. If you don't want sandwiches they offered pre boxed salads, scones, muffins, and granola type bars so clearly there is surely something to satisfy anyone's pallet. I couldn't leave without trying the Red general lemonade which is fresh lemonade and cranberry with cranberry compote poured over ice it's the ideal summer drink (or thirst quencher in general).

Almost home General in the Navasink section of Middletown. Great addition to the neighborhood. Although I would make some changes to the menu that's just my opinion. Everything here is made with love, fresh ingredients and creative. This building has been a place to get breakfast and lunch for as long as I can remember. I m glad Almost home made its home here.

Can't praise this place enough. Love love love. So many great menu options, but recently got a ham sandwich special and it was out of this wooooorld. Coffee and drinks are great, service great, ambiance great. All around a huge fan of this establishment and always head there when I am in the middletown area!

The waitress was so rude , not attentive to us, kept forgetting things when we asked. We ordered more food and were asked to leave , they took my coffee off the table without asking if I was finished. Absolutely absurd. It wasn’t busy for us to be asked to get up and leave. I own a brunch place and I am appalled at the service and behavior I just witnessed.

I’ve had the pleasure of partaking in dine in and take out on the same day. I was in town for work. I wish I lived closer because this place is great. The food is fresh, and well prepared. The cold brew was very good as well. Wonderful staff and great ambiance inside.

This has become our favorite place for breakfast and coffee, have been to Seabright and Navisink shops but this is the best one, whether you get breakfast, just a coffee or some baked goods everything is really good. I am not sure who the baker is but they are very talented, their baked goods are as good as you'll ever find. My only complaints is the baked goods change, you'll fall in love with something and won't see it again or for a long time and location exclusive drinks you'll love and have to go out your way to get but both are good things to have to complain about

amazing brunch spot with a homecooked feel. they don't take reservations so if you come on the weekend expect a wait. the dining area is relatively small but you can also takeout. the coffee drinks and baked goods are amazing. worth the wait!
