HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Wow what great fresh food . My wife and I were lucky enough to have meet the owner of this amazing place when she was dropping off her food for a large event . After sampling her food we were truly impressed on the quality and flavor of her food . Since then we usually order food weekly. The portions are generous and always full of delicious meals.Kid-friendliness: Family owned businesses and their heart and soul are in their food .

2 stars because I checked the price online and in the menu, said 9 bucks for bistec encebollado. Went in and asked they said $14. Second, i called about 4 times, they picked up once and didn't understand a word i said. When i went in, no body was in there only the workers, no customers. They don't understand English. Pricing not right. No English. and hard to reach.

I didn’t like this place at all. I’m sitting here now leaving a review as I’m typing. Came with my 2 guy friends. The food was cold, rice was hard, plastic utensils, mind you we ordered chicken and I had to asked several times for a knife because she didn’t understand me. I’m Argentinian and have a different accent so it’s crazy how we’re all Hispanic yet can’t even understand the word cuchillo. We had to ask for plates because they were not given. Mind you it’s three people eating. Not sure how they expect 3 people to eat off one plate. Everything was cold it’s ridiculous. At the end of the day we were raised to eat what was bought to the table so we don’t waste food. But never again will I come here. The Maduro was cold and hard. Worst Dominican food ever. Also based on the previous reviews the owners responses come off so rude which shows a lot. Good luck. Also, the only reason there’s a lot of good reviews is because they tell you at the end of your dinner. If you like the food to go leave a review for money off well here’s my review. Lol

Bad food, bad attitude high prices for low quality food. Menu prices do not matter, they charge more than posted on the menu and not a dollar or two more but double.

The empanadas were not that good, kind of cold, the guava and cheese::: no good at all, I don’t know what kind of cheese they used on that empanada but it was bad, bad idea! The other food look kind of cold. The place looks nice but the food (most important) idk. I gotta be brave to try!

First off a response that they gave my wife most definitely secures that they NO LONGER GET MY BUSINESS. And I am sure that goes for every other person who feels the same.As a business customers come first. Not those ghetto responses and attitude that they give customers who are unhappy with their mediocre food. You might have better food than some other places in your area but believe that your response to customers who don't like your food and service is horrible.Any person who gives them a negative response is doing it because they had a bad incident here. This place gives is very ghetto responses.I understand you are defending your location but do it with ethics.

Translated from the Spanish meaning the snack, El Picoteo DominicanoProductos Jaylenne is a hidden gem shared with another restaurant off of Stiles Street in Linden which caught my eye on the way to work today. Upon arrival just before noon, I was greeted by one of the staff and the owner, Aldi who named the restaurant after her oldest daughter. It’s mainly a take-out restaurant but has sufficient seating for eating on the premises. She offers catering for all occasions including, birthdays, weddings and anniversaries etc. The owner takes pride in her preparation of Dominican ??cuisine. Lunch and dinner specials are featured online to include stews (pepper steak, beef stew, fish stew) Rice’s, fried meats (beef, chicken pork, fish), platters (ribs, chicken, port), spaghetti, beans, soups and desserts. For lunch, I ordered the Costilla de Cerdo Guisada / Pork Rib Stew which came with white rice and red beans. I also got a side of sweet plantains. The food was still warm when I got back to the office, well seasoned, the meat fell off the bones and tasty. Everything was homemade and has to be one of the best meal I had in the area for a while. The portions are good for another meal and can’t beat the price of $14. A repeat performance is in the works which I can recommend this place.

All i can say is the sancocho in this place has never failed, always fresh, seasoning is always on point as for all the other items in there menu also. This small restaurant will definetly satisfy your cravings for a home cooked meal and at a good price with decent portions. Does not matter what nationality you are from check this place out because there is something in the menu you would definitely like
