I've been going here since Hurricane Sandy, the best breakfast in NJ. Simple and done well.

Great place for breakfast and/or lunch. The diner is small, with a long counter and two person tables and a few booths. The food is delicious and the servers friendly and attentive.Normally I only order homemade hash, but Gloria (our server) exclaimed that theirs was really good (even out of the can) and she was right. It was perfectly made and tasty, with crunchy well done edges. It was crowded when we arrived (noon), but plenty of seating after 1pm.The diner is not wheelchair accessible, but there is an outdoor space that may be accessible in the warm months (outdoor space was closed today). There are steps leading up the front door, and the inside is pretty tight, as far as maneuverability.Few parking places out front, but plenty of street parking on a quiet street. Will definitely return!!

I just had the worst pork roll egg and cheese of my life. The pork roll was burnt till it was the consistency of a potato chip, scrambled egg and an I toasted, slightly stale roll. Definitely won't be back any time soon.

I love old fashion luncheonettes! Edie's doesn't disappoint! I pass here all the time on my way to visit my husband at his job at Sickles Market. We had a day off together and decided on the way to Sandy Hook to stop off for lunch.Great menu. Great food. Friendly staff and great service! My husband had the burger platter and I opted for the Italian Hot Dog! Delicious! I brought one home for lunch to have the next day! Can't wait to visit again! Highly recommend!!!

Staff was pretty quick and attentive. Got the super sandwich as a bacon egg and cheese. Very substantial sandwich for the price, it seemed like the egg and potatoes were mixed together which was different from other establishments providing a hashbrown on top of an egg. Hard roll was soft and did it's job holding all the ingredients together. I should have asked for some hot sauce on the side...Dining in is very cozy and like stepping back into time.Parking: Limited spots up front but you can park next to the cemetery just be prepped for parallel parking.

Personally, I worked there for 3 years so I do have a bias but SUCH great food in a cozy enviornment, most people know eachother, everyone is very friendly and the food has great portions.

Finally stopped in after many years of driving by and wondering about this place. It has a very no frills, old school luncheonette/diner feel and it is pretty small so we were lucky there was a table available. My wife got a small stack of pancakes and an egg and I got the eggs benedict with tater tots. Both were good, the hollandaise was on the lighter side and the tots very crispy. Glad we stopped in!

Edies is a phenomenal place to eat. Quant atmosphere and delicious food, you seriously can't go wrong. This place is my choice for a birthday lunch, it's really that delicious every time. The people here are friendly and because it's a smallish place, it's never too loud or feels packed. I've come here countless times and I've never had a complaint ever. Not to mention the prices are very good, and you certainly get more than what you paid for. This is a great place I highly recommend!!

Cozy place to have breakfast or lunch. Had the Reuben and buffalo chicken wrap, which were tasty!
