Easter Sunday. Horrible experience. Mimosas were just orange juice. No server showed up to our table. Another younger gentleman served us coffee, but we never received cream. Coffee was cold before we could get creamer. All the managers were condescending, dismissive and manipulative. Ken the server never came around until we were leaving. I guess he wanted to make sure he received the 21% gratuity which had to be added without choice. The desserts had a bug infestation, and management did not care to remediate it. Small bugs were quickly running all over the plate. The rest of our table did not want to get dessert after that. Their meals were ruined. Gross place. Some of the worst service I have ever received in my life. Horrible management , (sham wow) the manager who scolded me for trying to show him which desserts I had taken, in order to help them pinpoint the bug infestation was abusive. I definitely will never return. What a joke.

Issac is excellent!

Breakfast potatoes were amazing, crispy but not overcooked. Everything else was as good as a regular breakfast should be. Expect to be paying resort prices.

Listen to the reviews... this place should not be in business. We made a reservation for 12/30 at 8:15pm for 4 people including a toddler. When we get there, Nashon, the guy who claimed he was in charge for the night stated that since they were getting ready for NYE, we had to choose from two table options. Wait for it... a bar table or a booth that could seat 2 people. I had to go back and forth with him to tell him that wasn't going to work and we needed a table to fit four people. He says "it's going to take a while", because they were setting up for NYE; mind you, setting up for NYE was forks + knives on the table. ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS REMOVE THEM OFF THE TABLE. Eventually after me complaining, he sat us at an appropriate table. Then we get the food and guess what... there's a hair in my husbands burger. At this point, we wanted to speak to someone in charge to get our frustrations across and we ended up meeting Nashon again who we had to go back and forth with for about five minutes. Not once in this five minutes did we get a god damn apology. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Even though Santa was very sweet to the kids, for the money paid a more older and better looking Santa would have been appropriate . Tip Shoukd not have been included since it was a buffet. We should have been given the choice how much tip. It was. A buffet !!

Went there for the thanksgiving buffet which I have had before and loved it! This time was not the same, the food was good but no chocolate fountain which I was actually looking forward to. Now for the mess, they had a live singer that was to loud and made it hard to enjoy dinner, he let some drunk guy sing like it was karaoke night, there was absolutely no holiday music at all which was the point of the dinner!? The staff had a hard time keeping up with the crowd. Took forever to finally get the check so we were forced to listen to overbearing wedding music! Unfortunately I do not recommend Ocean place Thanksgiving buffet.

This was our third time there for Thanksgiving. This year the service was the worst! Nobody cleaned the dirty plates or brought dinks. When we did manage to flag someone down to ask for something it took forever to get it. The food was decent though.

The food was absolutely delicious. It was easy to navigate the buffet and it wasn't too crowded. However the service was the worst I have ever experienced. The wait staff was non existent. We were constantly trying to wave down someone to help us. The dirty dishes were piled up on our table and no one cleared them . We waited 20 minutes for a drink. No one took order for coffee. When we finally did flag someone down, they didn't speak English! Was served cream for the coffee in a mug! Which of course spilled all over while trying to pour into coffee. There is not enough space to go on about the horrible service. The music was lovely for a bar but not for thanksgiving dinner. We could not hear each other speak at the table. Relatives that drove hours to see us could not even have a conversation with us. Very aggravating and embarrassing. Light Piano music would have been more appropriate.

Food quality was excellent, Excellent variety at Thanksgiving buffet. Table by the window. Well done. One critique...live music was too loud. Its for background at a restaurant not a club.

We love Ocean Resort Place, we were married there. Just don't go over a busy holiday weekend. With the heat and humidity, over Labor Day weekend, we were hoping for indoor dining. But they only had outdoor seating. We sat closest to the Boardwalk, but we were downwind of cigar smokers. They even allowed cigar smoking at the tables. That ruined our experience. Then, they turned on music, that teenagers would enjoy, and the speakers were very loud, we could not even converse. It wasn't live music, or a dj, it sounded like a siriusxm station, with commercials. They did turn it down when we asked. The servers were helpful, and friendly, they even validated our parking ticket. The salmon was good, rice was plain, and the salads were fresh. The iced coffee was mixed with tea, we had to send them back. Disappointing, but we still will return.

While the atmosphere was nice, the food not bad but nothing special, the service was not up to par especially considering we were the only people there. Had to go to bar and get our own drinks.

Located in the Ocean Place Resort hotel just beyond the check-in counter, the place was surprisingly empty when we arrived and remained that way for the duration of our meal, which should have been a sign. We didn't heed the warning. The menu is limited and the prices are lofty. That would be fine if the food had been amazing. Sadly, amazing didn't happen here. The calamari was quite possibly the worst calamari I have ever had in my life. No exaggeration here. It was so crunchy that I felt like I was gnawing on Cousin Catherine's turkey. There's just a level of thoughtlessness here in realizing the menu. For example, they have a kids menu, which is nice since the restaurant is in a hotel. However, the kids' hot dogs were not for kids at all. No child wants so massive of a frank that they can't even get it into their mouth. They also don't want it charred on top the way you might cook it at an outdoor barbecue. They also don't want potatoey fries that are either undercooked or burnt. In other words, think what a kid would want, order raw materials to match it and then cook it appropriately. The entrees were almost as equally disappointing. The shrimp and grits is priced at $32. While I'm fine with a $32 entree, I expect it to meet a certain standard. It just didn't happen here. The grits were good as was the chili on top of it. But $32 good? No. For a family of four to drop $133 on a meal, we expect more. The one positive of the restaurant is it's service. The waitress was very attentive. The manager also came over on more than one occasion. We're not the type of customers to complain unless there's something terribly wrong -- what does one say to a manager? "Well, sir, your food is bad and whoever has conceived of this place needs to fire the chef, replace the kitchen, 86 the menu, and order new product."If the restaurant is lucky, they'll figure some of that out themselves. If not, it'll likely continue to resemble Tombstone for as long as the hotel manages to stay afloat.

It was a Saturday night and there were three other tables in the entire restaurant. We were a group of 7 with a baby. Drinks took forever and there was miscommunication between the bar staff and the servers and management about what bourbons were and we're not available. Fifteen minutes later and three bourbon choices later drinks finally came out including the kids apple juice we asked for when we first sat down. After we finished dinner we weren't asked if we were interested in coffee or dessert or another round of drinks just given the check. I went to the bar to order drinks the bartender was more concerned about when she was getting off for the evening saying they told me 930. It was well before 9 when we ordered so we weren't going to be holding her up. She couldn't make an espresso martini even tho it was on the menu. The management needs to train the kids they're hiring. It is not the fault of the server and the bartender because they were clearly never given proper training on how to do their jobs. I would never send my worst enemy to this restaurant and we will never return.

This place was so expensive. $80 per person and we had three kids. We ordered a lot but from the get go this place felt like it was trying to bilk you. I'm not sure if we even had to pay for parking because I saw some woman park in the grass 20 feet from where we had to pay $20. Big sign says no refunds for parking. We were the only ones there and still dinner took forever. The food was good but confusing. My crab cake had stone cold corn salad. $45 steaks were not seasoned well enough and came with no sauce. Kids said the lemonade tasted weird. Rice had absolutely nothing in it, just plain boring white rice. Several things were boring. And to top of off they charged us $9 for "open food," which is a box I guess to take home food that my son didn't eat. And it was a ripped box too boot. While we were eating the wait staff was sorting utensils in the corner so we had to listen to crash crash crash. Then the employee started watching loud videos with screams. We had to search around for a hostess when we came in as no one was there. View was nice but the inside employees didn't really seem to care about our dining experience. Waiter was nice but I'm angry we went here and we will never return.
