A little disappointed. Have great memories growing up in LB and the windmill was the place to be with good food at reasonable price. I stopped in when returning to NJ and saw the manager and he explained how the area and crowd are not what they used to be either.. ? I ordered the hot dog and Chilli cheese fries and a Cali Burger. The hot dog was fine but the Chilli Fries , was scarce on cheese.?Since I am only visiting before I leave I decided to give it another try and went in again for Chilli Cheese fries and a Chicken sandwich. Chicken was a bit dry and sadly there was barely any chilli or cheese. ?The gentleman there was alone and it was not busy so it seems like simply lack of enthusiasm to provide good service or a good product. I hope it gets back to the friendly and great place to eat.

The staff here are really nice and friendly! The burger and fries were so good! I was a little sad that the vat of pickles was gone but it's been a long time since I've been here so who knows when it disappeared. The boss/owner was there when I went in and to be honest, he seemed like an absolute jerk. I felt bad for the staff who were having to deal with his rudeness and grumbling. He couldn't even speak to them like an adult. He sat with his back to them and barked orders at them through his burger, never once turning around to address them properly. He did this in front of customers too, so I can imagine it's worse when no one's around. Overall, this is definitely a great place for a good greasy burger, just avoid the grumpy little garden gnome in the corner. ?

Not what it used to be. The hot dog I received was overcooked to the point of being 75% crunchy. Inedible. Prices have skyrocketed like everywhere else. I struggled through my meal silently and was vindicated when another patron decided they were not going to settle for their overcooked hot dog. Staff was unfriendly, rushing us through our order even though there was only 2 other customers.

Good spot if you have the munchies. Cheese fries are a must-have. Their number one item, in my opinion.
Hot dog are not the same. Very salty. Don't know what happened to them but not paying that kind of money for a bad hot dog. Sorry that they're going downhill.

The BEST since 1963!! Been going here all my life; occasionally to Max's when it was on the Boardwalk and still good. Now, my only go to, when in my home hood! The best HotDogs, & California Burgers! Now that I live in Northern NJ i still have a place to buy Windmill Hotdogs to make-they're very good- but so much better while breathing in the Salt air and enjoying my memories!

Very bad experience, the workers were not careful handling the food, with the same gloves they grabbed the money with they went and grabbed the food.Not acceptable.

Great chili dogs! If you like your dog to snap and your chili mild, get here! It's a hot dog stand so the service and cleanliness is not the best, but the chilli dogs are worth the trip!
