Wanted to take my 15yo daughter and her friends for her birthday. Whoever is in charge of reservations needs an attitude adjustment demanding a $75 deposit (which I had no problem paying). Rudest person ever - cancelled reservation. It would have been a big bill so their loss

My dad has been coming to Lees since growing up in Lyndhurst, and he was excited to take me back! He said the place hasn't changed (in a good way!) with similar decor and the delicious food. We were a party of 6 and made a reservation for a Saturday night. Yummy, island mai tai was what I ordered to drink and we were served Chinese crackers, duck sauce, and hot mustard to start (complimentary). That mustard will clear your sinuses, perfect temperature for me! We ordered a poo poo, which had egg rolls, shrimp toast, spare ribs, etc. not only delicious, but visually appealing as well with a large flame! I had the hunan beef for an entree. Delicious but very spicy, which the waiter warned be about! As we were leaving they were setting up karaoke. Overall great, fun night at Lees!

Went on a busy Saturday night, after seeing reviews I didn't have high hopes for the food. Started with pu pu platter wow it was tasty highlights were the spare ribs and shrimp toast. Main course general tso, It was one of my favorites I've had. As a general tso critic it is hard to find a good dish now that still uses the spicy red peppers in the dish. The sauce was thick sticky & peppery with big pieces of white meat chicken, I was impressed. All to be washed down with a fruity Mai Thai. Service was excellent as workers checked on us frequently. They were setting up for karaoke around 9pm. Took a start off because the bathroom was gross... regular cleaning is needed as it's such a busy place.

So I had such a optimism about this place , because have such a love for all things retro tiki. But the servers and management omg are horrible. I only gave it 2 stars bc the decorations and atmosphere were awesome, But I drove over an hour and a half there and was greeted by the most unwelcoming attitudes , they don't pay attention to you at all, I never got any refills on drinks, the food didn't come out as described and some of it was so gross , the drinks were so bad, but the worst was being yelled at for asking questions about the menu and treated like we were bothering them just for us being there! Andmanagement was just God awful rude right from the start all the way to the end, they are lucky I even payed, if they got new management they may actually work out. Honestly feel like I am so let down. I had so much hope for this place.

I have been wanting to come to lees for too many years to count. Finally went yesterday. Loved it!!! The ambience reminded me of my teenage years when there were a lot of these kind of restaurants. The food was great. So so fresh!!! The service was excellent. Nancy the owner was so cordial. Told us a bit of the history of lees. I plan to absolutely go back again!!!!

I have fond memories of going to Polynesian restaurants as a child. There are so few left that I made a trek to visit Lees for my birthday. The food was good. But I must admit that the service left a bit to be desired. The servers were a bit rude (i.e. throwing fortune cookies on the table). I was disappointed. I felt I was not wanted. My children who were with me asked why the servers were not nice. I really did no know what to say. Unfortunately I won’t be going back.

Amazing time capsule restaurant completely Hawaiian kitsch-style decor, and the karaoke DJ is a diamond! The food has no seasoning so you could make it better bringing your own soy and Asian style bbq sauce -- stuff is very greasy tho.Kid-friendliness: Kids were brave and sang karaoke

Every thing you'd expect and everything you'd remember if you've ever been before. THE authentic tiki bar. Good food, better drinks, wonderful service, tremendous ambience and decor. Allegedly selling and closing so get your butts over their one last time (or for the first time) before this timeless treasure is closed.

The Owner and his Son Dave always make U feel comfortable each time visiting the Restaurant!
