The best Italian food! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and clean. The staff is friendly. It feels like you’re in Italy and the food tastes just as good. Also the Caesar salad is amazing.

I asked for my usual Beefeater on the rocks & my wife Johnny Walker Black otr. Mine came with what I perceived to be no more than an ounce of liquid with an ice cube the size of the one that sunk the Titanic. My wife's was no bigger. I told the waiter if that was a normal drink I'd need a double. He took it back & brought it back with not much more in it. Not wanting to make a scene I took it. But as a 1st impression we were already not coming back. Then when I received the check I was charged $20 for mine, $16 for my wife's. I can buy a 750ml of Beefeater for$23. They could get about 18 drinks at this pace out of a bottle. Totally ridiculous. Food was good but obviously spoiled by the rest of it. Not going back.

Our family always enjoy having meals at L'Allegria. The food ans service is always outstanding. Sal and is sons are gracious hosts. Their wait staff are very friendly and do great job. Highly recommend.

Had the most bland chicken franchese in my life. No flavor what so ever! Very upsetting.

We dined here a few weeks back with friends and were underwhelmed. The menu is heavy on expensive ingredients (think crab, lobster, cognac), perhaps to justify the high prices. However, the cooking doesn’t live up to the them. Service was friendly but scarce. We would have added at least $60 to our check if someone had just stopped by to ask if our table wanted another drink. Speaking of which, the craft cocktail trend of the last 30 years has not touched L’Allegria. For a fully-licensed restaurant, this seems like a missed opportunity. All in all, L’Allegria feels like something of a throwback to the white tablecloth Italian of yore. Go if you want that old school feeling, but you can do much better for the money elsewhere.

The food and wine were outstanding - one of the best meals I've had for a long time. One of us had Osso Buco, I had Filet and my partner had a Chilean sea bass special. Each dish was perfect. The pumpkin cheesecake was creamy light and spiced beautifully. The restaurant had a lovely warm ambiance.

We're new in town, and being foodies, we tried this out. Food and service are excellent, in the old school style. Professional and thorough. The specials were great, and complemented the regular menu well. Entrees are a bit too over what the expected price band is, but nonetheless, a great eating experience.

My buddy brought me here for lunch, during my lunch hour. It was really nice inside, no one else was there eating. Didn't discourage me... my buddy said the place was really good. I only took away a star because we did tell them a few times I was on my lunch hour and everything kind of took a long time. WHICH I get when making fresh but even my cocktail took a very long time. And for no one else being there, I was hoping for a faster service Besides that! The bread was very yummy! We got an assortment. I had to stop myself because I did not want to get full. My friend ordered us a type of charcuterie board which was delicious . My friend ordered the bolognese and I got the chicken marsala. So saveoy and delicious. I never had polenta before and that was actually really good. I could have kept eating that haha. Everything was superb . The pricing was a but much for MY pocket but was glad to be treated out since they are down the street :-) Oh and the tiramisu was fantastic as well!!! Which we were able to get to go haha

Very nice restaurant, waitress knew menu very well and explained preparation and ingredients. House special lobster was OK, sauce overpowered and risotto blan. Osso buco was very good ( risotto blan). Flounder w/ crab was also very good. Portions were good but costly.

Prices are outrageous, even by today's standards. My 7 year old had a small dish of pasta with parmesian cheese and they charged me $22. Waitress was unenthusiastic, and didn't even tell us what the specials were. I will never go back again.

Our daughter said she felt like she was back in Italy! Really appreciated that the noise level was low, as it is difficult to find a restaurant where it's easy to talk with dining companions. The food was plentiful and delicious, however it took quite some time to get menus and service. Although it's a little pricey, we would go back again.

Discovered yet another romantic spot —a wondrous Italian place in Madison, New Jersey. Thank you, Alana for your warm welcome and spot on recommendations! Food is delicious ! This is the Chilean Bass with Lemon Sauce—

Food was good, service was not good. I mentioned that to the manager and he didn’t care/ was actually very rude.
