The food is average, nothing special. My "Veal Meatballs" were tough and dry.The service is atrocious. I have been to Coal only twice in the past year, and for good reason. Both times, it takes 20-25 minutes to get menus and drink orders. We had to stop someone walking by and ask for menus. One of our party never got their food. I don't know if the problem is in front of house or back of house, but something is not working right. I recommend going some place else.

My fiancé and I were in the area and wanted a bite to eat. We decided to stop in and grab some pizza. OMG! Best decision. We had the zucchini with cheese as an appetizer and it was SO GOOD! It was super crispy and paired really well with the marinara sauce. Then we customized our pizza with honey bacon and pineapple and the mixture of the salty and sweet just really hit the spot. Wow! Service was also great and everyone was friendly. Might be my new favorite pizza place. It might be an hour drive from where I live but I will definitely be stopping in whenever I'm nearby. Yum!
We ordered 10”deep dish pizza and she brought 16” squares thick pizza.. it’s greasy, slimy, and the crust is very thick like pre-made.. very disappointing..
