Gus, Gus, Gus....you just broke my heart. After coming to my beloved NJ diner for over 20 some odd years I will NEVER EVER RETURN. It has nothing to do with the food which is always super tasty. It has to do with being totally disrespected by a non-server server. This was so out of the ordinary as many of the servers know me and actually know my go to order which is always amusing but makes you feel like you are in a very homey place. When my mom and I sat down at the table there were a group of servers huddling together saying how they were so over the day and could not wait to leave. They were complaining loud enought for me to hear. Clearly, not a good sign. Our server came over to the table and asked if we were ready to order. We were ordering off the daily specials menu and told her the particular numbered items we wanted. She said you need to let me know what you want. It is clearly described on the list of daily specials and if you told the kitchen I want number such and such they would know what to do but nevertheless I read off each item on each order so she could write it down cause just stating the number of the titem was not enough. Our food was delivered by another individual and certain items were not included. The server never returned and I asked another server if they could be so kind to bring the missing items. They were then delivered. After 15-20 minutes our server was walking by and I got her attention. I said we needed some things and we never saw you again and we had to had to ask another server to assist us. She then said...so you clearly got what you needed so what is your problem? Tone, attitude and like asking her to do her job was a complete affront to her entire life. Well, I am a day older and a day wiser. You do not speak to anyone that way let alone a paying customer. I am no princess. I am in a service industry working over 60 hours per week, 6 days per week and I treat every customer with respect and dignity. She was snotty, entitled, petulant and if she were my kid (which would never happen cause my kid would never do that) she would be in a lifetime of time out. I proceeded to get up from the table and go to speak to the manager who knows my mother and I for years. I told him what had just transpired and he looked at me and said..."what would you like me to do about it?" That was the straw that broke the camel's back. Clearly being disrespected and ignored with major attitude is totally fine at this establishment. I returned to the table and we had whatever was left of our meal packed up and we left. Adios...keep hiring entitled brats who will never ever earn a decent tip with a bad attitude and when customers start getting disgusted with bad service they will go elsewhere in NJ Diner heaven!

I literally go here once a weekend. The food is amazing as which made me continue my goings to here. The service is also amazing as no matter how crowded it is the service is always quick and I get in and out of there. Lastly, Ambiance is the best which gives a theme of a classic breakfast/lunch/dinner diner.

Great prices, food and portion sizes. Honestly, some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Get them for sure if you stop in for breakfast. Waiter was super nice and attentive. Owners came by each table to check in. We really liked it. Will be stopping back regularly.

I rarely give bad reviews as it's not in my nature. I have to say my wife and I went to try this place out. We were immediately seated down on a Saturday night and after going through the menu for ten minutes with no service asking what drinks we need or even getting water. He passed us a few times with no ackniwledgement. a single Caucasian woman was seated down across from us and not thirty seconds after being seated,, the waiter came asked what she needed. He then walked away. After being very disappointed , my wife and I proceeded to leave. My wife being a person of color and myself being asian, took offense. It is a shame because she had been there in October during the day for lunch and did not recieve the same treatment. I can not in Good conscious give any stars to this place.
