I will not be returning here, not just because the ice cream was basic, the “flurries” were not evenly mixed, leaving the bottom just plain ice cream.. I can deal with that but the ignorance of the employees will make sure we never come back. Just to briefly sum it up: we’re a family of 4, two of us got our order, the other two were waiting a while. I noticed that other people that ordered after us were getting their ice cream. I decided to go up and ask if our was ready. The girl looked over the receipt paper that they write the orders on and noticed that there was two orders that were not crossed off (assuming thats how they track it). She had an attitude about it but went on to make the order. The girl who took our order apologized about forgetting our order. After getting to the table, my daughter was a little upset as she thought she was getting soft served ice cream.. I offered to wait in line, but the line was really long so she chose to eat my ice cream. A few minutes later, the girl who made our order came out from the back room and I asked her if there was a way we could switch the order out for a soft serve chocolate ice cream, mind you it was a small and would of taken her two seconds to run back there and make it so we didn’t have to wait in line, instead she said to me “I’m not giving you a free one, you can wait in line, even if its long, what she ordered was labeled as handmade icecream.”LIKE WHAT?! My daughter is 10 YEARS OLD and did not realize, the employee who took the order should have corrected her when she ordered, it clearly written down on the paper as “soft serve chocolate cookies and cream” I am absolutely disgusted by the way this was all handled and we will not be returning. Do better people.

I have been eating Ice cream here for over 8 years. This is the first time I have experienced rude customer service from this girl Kali. She got an attitude because she forgot to add sprinkles at the bottom of my ice cream. Just nasty! Young kids working here need to stay in school if they do not like scooping ice cream for under $10/hour. She did not say thank you. Dippys owners need to teach better customer service skills to the young kids that work there. Especially the girl Kali. I work hard for my money and I expect respect or I will spend my money elsewhere. This happened 3pm on Sunday 10/13.

How do you run out of stuff at 1pm, on a Tuesday? You opened like 2 hours ago. Do you have M&Ms? No, we ran out. Ok....the sign says peaches and cream is back, I'll have that. Oh, you ran out. Wtf?This place is about as mid as it comes. When you CAN get a flavor, its ok. The building is a bit weathered, but not gross. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site. Meh.I definitely thought I wrote about this place before, but I guess I didn't really feel like wasting the time on such a middle of the road experience. In all fairness, I have been here quite a few times; my daughters drug of choice is chocolate ice cream, but every single time we've discussed getting ice cream, I've NEVER gone, "well, we should go to Dippy's." It's Ice Cream Love first, and Dot's second. We just often wind up here out of necessity, circumstance or laziness. Dippy's is running a distant third in the Ice Cream Wars of Deptford NJ.

Waited in line for over 20 minutes in the rain only to be told at the register they were out of ALL chocolate flavored hard ice creams. This could easily have been addressed with a loud speaker announcement, a sign, a modern menu on a TV, etc.The ice cream is great when it's in stock but this is incredibly inconsiderate to do to customers waiting in line for any period of time. I recommend Scoopy's in Deptford.
