Bring an extra pair of socks to the Manville diner, because your socks will be knocked off! When we arrived we were told to sit anywhere we liked, I chose the last available booth next to the window. Our waitress came quickly and we shared a name, immediately I felt a sense of kinship. I ordered cranberry juice and a breakfast burrito with hash browns and the guy sitting in the booth with me ordered coffee, chocolate chip pancakes, toast (rye and dry), eggs and bacon with a side of hash browns. They had a tv in the corner of the diner so I was able to keep an eye on the Iran situation while enjoying my meal. On the wall above us hung a portrait of the old diner that sat on the site, as well as the asbestos factory. This got personal/emotional for me because my grandma is from Manville and many of her relatives worked there and later died from asbestos-related diseases. Price wise, it could’ve been more affordable. My final tab was $42.94 and this was for two people. But to be fair the guy I came with ordered a lot. The diner looks new from the outside but old in the inside, when I called to ask about the history of the diner they hung up on me. All in all, my food was alright and the service was good.

Classic tiny old-school diner in the heart of Manville. Great food at a great price. Since moving to the area about a year ago, I’ve been trying many of the diners around with my ma and this has been far and away the best over-all. Love their chicken-fried steak and eggs.

Such a great local spot! The Manville diner is always clean, offers great diner food, at great prices. I've eaten breakfast and dinner here and the food is always good. For the price, it's definitely one of the best values around.I also love that it's squeezed into the corner of the block. It feels cozy and exactly what a great local eatery should be.Parking: Parking on the street is a Manville thing. It's an easy walk from anywhere on the block though.Kid-friendliness: It's a diner, kids welcome, ha. I feel because of it's smaller size, people are aware and it's never super loud

I visited the Manville Diner for breakfast on Nov 10, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. There is a small parking lot in the back of the diner. There is additional parking on the street. Prices are reasonable and the diner gives generous portions. My grandmother and I had eggs with home fries and toast, we both agreed it was good. The coffee was also good and the waitress was friendly. The diner has been in Manville New Jersey since 1938, under different names throughout the years. The outside of the dinner looks like a regular building. Once you walk inside you are transported back to 1938. The diner from the inside looks like the inside of a train car. Long and narrow with a curved ceiling, the diner resembles an O'Mahony dining car with upgrades made through the years. I will definitely go back.

For years, I loved going to this local diner for breakfast and dinner as the food and friendly staff were great!. Unfortunately it was recently sold and now the food is terrible as is the atmosphere of the place! This is the second time I have been there under the new owners and again my food was very bad. I ordered breakfast and the bacon was dry and looked and tasted like old leather and the sausage was just as bad. Another good place gone bad! Stay away!!!
