“First time coming to this place. I did not expect it to be a "house", but it was a pleasant surprise. The girl that took our order was really nice and attentive throught our meal. We ordered a tamal verde and tamal de mole to start with. I had enchiladas verdes with chicken for dinner. The portion of the food was perfect. My husband ordered the steak with rice and beans that came with what looked like hand made tortillas. I also ordered their piña colada which tasted natural to me. It was refreshing. “What a great restaurant! We found it by chance and it’s like a little jewelry box filled with good authentic atmosphere, delicious food and amazing music. Señora Alma, the owner treated us as the family, the tacos were tasty. They also have some Oaxaca souvenirs and pottery for sale, the ambience is welcoming and warm.I will definitely be back for more. And did I mention they have parking lot next door for their customers.“
“The vegetarian black bean burrito is superb. The hot and spicy salsa is crazy hot. Even their regular salsa has a nice enough flavor to it with a little bit of heat. The sope is okay at least a vegetarian version and I thought the bread was way too thick.“

“I was surprised by how good the food was. I got a burrito bowl with carne and it was fantastic. The meat was tender and savory, and the combination of flavors left me wanting more. The atmosphere was really nice and casual. The dining area was semi outdoors with a sliding roof that they will open/close depending on the weather. The service was adequate.We had a burrito bowel, one verde con pollo (chicken w green sauce) tamale, one mole con pollo (chicken with mole) tamale, and a chicken tostada. For drinks we had jarrito mandarine and tamarind piña.The burrito was standard. The verde con pollo was delicious and the tostada was generous and tasty. “We are on our way to NY and we made a detour to have dinner, we found this place and it exceeded our expectations, we are from El Paso TX and the seasoning in these parts is very different in Mexican food to what we are used to, the food was very delicious, I ordered something simple, minced meat without meat and the sauce was very delicious, both the green and the red, although it was a simple meal, it had a lot of flavor??? ???. I also enjoyed the fried baby artichokes which were so delicate and delicious smothered in the most incredible sauce.If there’s anything there that comes with pork belly, then you absolutely must order it! “I came in here on a Tuesday unaware that this restaurant had a Taco Tuesday special. The taco orders come in sets of 2 and each set is $4, so $2 per taco. Compared to some of the other Mexican restaurants around, this was an exceptional deal to me. After being seated, I was given chips and salsa. There are 4 varieties of salsa that are freshly made in this restaurant and the chips strike the right balance between saltiness, crunchiness, and grease. I ordered 4 sets of tacos that day (8 in total) and stuffed myself silly. Needless to say that the tacos were delicious. I liked that they gave thick cuts of radish with the tacos. It makes them feel healthier in a way. Since I've first came to this restaurant, I've since returned and tried all of the non-vegetarian taco varieties available on Taco Tuesday. My favorites would probably be the al pastor, campechanos, and enchiladas, but all of them were good. I don't think I've ever countered tacos de campechanos or enchiladas before, so those were interesting to me.Besides the tacos, I quite like the interior design of the place. It's very colorful and they play all sorts of old school Mexican pop and rock songs. The service is quick and the staff is very attentive.Now until now I've done nothing but praise this restaurant up until this point, but there are a couple of (very minor) downsides I want to point out. One is that there's no beer or alcoholic drinks served here, which is fine I guess since I really don't need the extra calories anyways. The second is that this place doesn't have my favorite taco variety - tacos de lengua. To me, having tacos de lengua on the menu makes me feel like it's a real Mexican place, but not having isn't the end of the world. Oh well. Would be nice though.I'll be bringing my friends here in the future and hopefully they'll enjoy it as much as I do. Maybe I'll also come back on a day other than Tuesday to try some of the other menu items.“

Stopped in quickly for takeout lunch because I was in the mood for GOOD pork tacos. Walked inside and immediately felt like I was in Mexico and I say that in a positive respect for the culture way. “I was in the area on business and just googled restaurants near me. This place popped up quite small but the food was very very good and very reasonable. My whole meal was only $15 that was chips and salsa steak fajitas and a Coke. Definitely well worth the visit if you’re in the area.“

The size of the portion was absolutely massive.My table got a pitcher of margarita it was good, and a great way to save a few dollars.Unfortunately, my main complaint is the service was lacking. We waited a long time to be greeted, and have our orders taken. After the food came out the waiter didn’t come over to our table to check on us until we were ready for the check.A lot of space downstairs with a live band on some nights, and nice area to sit outside in the warmer months which is a plus.Worth checking out, and I’ll definitely be back.“

“My go-to place for a quick bite. When I’m in the area this is the place to go for authentic Mexican food. The food is delicious and they also serve alcoholic drinks which was a nice surprise to me. I ordered a Michelada and it was perfect! Busy on weekends no reservations. Tacos have an additional charge if they’re hand-made tortillas. Music can be a bit loud for my taste on weekends. So I prefer weekdays to stop by for some food while I visit my precious son.Parking: Parking might be hard to find on busy days. It's in the back enclosed. There's also a house back there and they also use the same parking area. So it can get full on Weekends.“
“This is one of my favorite local restaurants! I love the atmosphere. Love to go with my family or even on lunch/dinner dates. The waiter, Alex, is TOP KNOTCH! 10/10 customer service that makes the experience that much better. My go to dish is the ranchero steak and their chicken soup. So delish. I also recommend their chicken chimichanga, their hongos borrachos, and camarones al ajillo. Their new owners have upgraded the taste of their food compared to the previous owners. Made me happy to go back there as the original flavor that I remember from my childhood was finally back. The restaurant is decorated so nicely, and the music choice is great.
