Tbh the best thing about this place is the ambiance. It’s very nice and classy. The music was okay too, However the service…not so much. We sat for 45min before even getting water. Then the food took about 2 hours to get out. No exaggeration. I really wanted to like this place, tik-tok brought us out here. They were really nice so I don’t know if it was just a bad night for us to come. I might try them one more time to see if it’s better but I’m not sure. Food was just okay for the price and so we’re the drinks.

IVE BEEN A LONG TIME SUPPORTER OF BENTLEYS since it was in newark for years.TODAY I ordered from Bentleys at this CRABBAE location on Uber eats. I ordered 2 salmon with no marmalade with mac n cheese and yams and this took 1.5 hours to get here. The delivery person spent 30 mins waiting on the food. Then I get the food AND ITS THE WRONG FOOD!!! Highly disappointed I WILL NEVER ORDER HERE AGAIN.PICTURES FOR PROOF.

I got two servings of fish with mac & cheese, a side of yams, and collard greens. The fish was soft seems like it’s an old fish and salty the mac and cheese tasted more like noodles with a bacon-flavored cheese, overall not the best dining experience. Not going back !

Customer service is trash…. I was over charged… I reached out to the email address found on their instagram I reached out to their instagram… I called multiple times. But they are currently posting on their instagram page. SMH I wish I could find a black restaurant that’s 10/10 across the board that would be my spot …. I truly enjoyed the food & atmosphere but the service threw me tf off.. It was only two of us we waited 25 minutes for our drinks that was watered down (obviously was ready a while ago but never brought over to us) then another 45 minutes for our food :( then we asked our server 3 times for a single to go box… we had to get up and get it on our own… then to top it off they charged me incorrectly and I can’t get in contact with anyone. Now I don’t want to contact anyone my bank has fixed the issue.

The cuisine is excellent. I had never had carryout from this Maplewood location before. The fact that the meal tastes amazing no matter where it is served says a lot about the chefs, in my opinion. Definitely worth the cost.

I ordered the Crab and salmon egg rolls they were just ok... The greens taste like sand was mixed in which is a sign that they are not cleaned properly. The Mac and cheese are bland not flavorful but however the yams are good and the catfish is good.

I order two pasta with shrimp and honey jerk wings. The pasta had no shrimps in both orders!!! At all the wings was not hot at all ! What’s the point of jerk if it’s not hot!!
Maplewood location, food was terrible!! Ox tails were tough and chewy, potato salad was runny and bland, only thing good was macaroni and cheese. Never will order from there again!! Soo disappointed....and spent $41.00

Love the food but the carry out system needs serious work. It takes too long to get your food when you ordered it for pickup and paid for it already. It was about 25 minutes. It was one person to take orders, answer phones and get the pickup order. This is not the first time that this has happened to me. You shouldn’t advertise if you don’t have the help to execute the orders. Please do better. I see a lot of people complaining that they won’t come back.

And not even enough for even a take home platter It was entirely. Mostly onions and peppers with a 1/2 cup of. Pasta on the. Plate. When asked to speak to manager he was not in building he was called by phone. And. Decided to argue with me back and forth. Instead of trying to fix the problem. When I stated I have no problem. Paying I am simply trying to tell you how to improve. Also as well as they have two different menus with an insane price. Difference if not on bar side. Be prepared if coming here.
