my sister just ordered food from here. within 45 minutes of eating she had explosive diarrhea and severe vomiting. all she ate was fried rice and a few pieces of chicken. read through the reviews and saw many about this place being dirty and unsanitary…i would believe it if i were you. disgusting.

I ordered it from here on DoorDash by mistake because I was trying to order from closer Hunan wok. I ordered some ribs and the sweet-and-sour chicken. The ribs are OK. Nothing special. The sweet-and-sour chicken was pretty tender and a good portion.

WARNING⚠️ If I can give this place 0 rating , on "food" I would. As a native New Yorker and foodie, I considered Hunan Wok, to be one of the best Chinese food in Essex County. Until recently, that they changed staff, and the food and preparation practices have gotten so bad, it can affect the health of its customers. My wife placed an order and her and two kids got sick, we thought it was a stomach virus that had been going around, but last weekend, I decided to order some food again. I ordered two separate orders that contained chicken. The one with chicken wings, looked and smelled good, but the order with half chicken, smelled like fried sauce. I grill, so I'm know the smell of burn sauce. The half chicken which is fried and shouldn't have any sauce, had sauce at some point, and was refried, causing the sauce to burn. For all I know, that chicken was left over by someone who had put sauce on it, refried, and placed in my order. I didn't eat it, went straight to the trash, and chose to write this review in hopes that more people with similar experience speak up. I have no issues with the staff, they're all nice, but loose stars for allowing this to happen. I recommend that if you do buy here, and get sick, look into what you ate. Check your food always. I post photos, so you can see the difference between the good chicken and the one that was refried with sauce.

I am almost tired of writing these reviews but I’d rather be tired than to be SICK & tired.You will surely get sick eating from this dump site.I just wish I stuck around long enough to take pictures. But that TELLS you I couldn’t get away fast enough!!!AVOID this place if you value your health.
Well I haven't left a review on any places in a while .. but for this place .. I have time today .. so it's local . Has decently price lunch specials .. never to over the top Great.. I do love hot and sour soup .. but theirs taste like dirty bath water .. weird after taste .. well the real reason for this review is the lil lady in the front .. on the phone .. wherever she may be at the time .. but its her .. I called based off of the menu online .. come to find out the prices have changed and due to my questions about that . She became rude and confused by my questions but part of me thinks she has to get this all The time ..it's a online menu ..Simply by how offended she was ....anyway . I was so shocked by her responses but I was hungry so I still went though still ordering and she kindly slammed the phone down ..once I hung up .. within 30 seconds my mind and my wallet said wait .. screw this . I called back and said cancel this order .."you hung up in my face " ......and guess wants y'all ....she hung up in my face again . Never again . And she is lucky I don't drive there just to make a scene in her place .. I was really on My way . I will. It be disrespected..but no woman .after I've given her plenty of my money on the past . But just take this one star and shove it boo.

I really like this resturant,the reason I gave 4 stars one is because parking and two a little pricey but the portions have gotten smaller,at least if the price go up continue to give the same portions. I wasn't happy about that!
