Park Wood Diner is the first restaurant my family visited when we started fencing in Maplewood. They have expanded their hours over the last year, which makes it incredibly convenient to pick up sandwiches for dinner after practice. We also eat here with friends on weekends, and the breakfast combination platter of pancakes, bacon, eggs and home fries is extremely popular.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options on the extremely large menuDietary restrictions: You can find a variety of options to fit different diets.Parking: There is a free parking lot around the corner from the main entrance.Kid-friendliness: Very, very kid friendly. We came in with a group of 5 people yesterday March 19th. The waitress who took our order and served us was very nice. I personally ordered soup, a garden omelet, iced tea and tasty coconut cake. It was a good meal at a fair price.

RUDE HOSTESS (owner’s sister). If you have a free 1-1:15 hour and want a cozy place to have some food and coffee while getting some work done, this is NOT the spot. Regardless of how long or short you’re planning to stay or how much food you order, if you have a laptop in front of you and not a person the rude hostess will ask you to either go sit in the back room or leave!!!!! I told her that I’m not staying long and that I was sitting at a side table not a booth, ordered a full breakfast & coffee and wanted to get dessert after. She said it’s almost lunchtime (at 11am) and that I have 5 minutes to either move to the back room or leave!!! The restaurant was HALF EMPTY. Worst dining experience. First and last time going there.

My husband and I went to Park Wood diner yesterday for lunch.. I had the lasagna and beans soup and he had swedish meatball with chicken soap.. and we had ice tea.. it was great.. it's really cheap.. go there for lunch you will not regret it.
