I’d like to say that this review has nothing to do with the food. I showed up with two toddlers for a quick bite at 5pm. The place was basically empty and the girl the runs the front desk told me she couldn’t seat me because the tables were reserved for other people starting at 6pm. This is the most ridiculous thing ever. She didn’t try to accommodate us in any way whatsoever. She was rude and unapologetic. I guess it was better to have a table empty for an hour than to serve us.Won’t bother to come back.

The bartender named Don, asked me to move only because I did not sit down on my seat. During the time I had cramps and it was painful to sit down. I was saving the seat with my friends and was about to take a seat, during that time frame Don told me to move and make space so someone else could sit, it seemed it was for someone he knew or something like that. Tbh I was very upset about this interaction. If he had kindly asked to make space or asked my entire group to move down a seat so he could make space for the couple that would have been completely okay. But the way he spoke to me and the way the entire interaction went down it was not okay

I have mixed feelings about this place. It probably survives on a loyal following, but I wasn't impressed. This may be due to the disastrous parking situation. I pulled into there lot, but they had only 4 spaces since they still has the back area of their lot coned off for outdoor dining. So, I had to back out onto a busy street. That was dangerous.Parking: See my detailed comments above. Parking here STINKS.

One of the best bar/restaurants in Jersey. Great for a good bite, cold beer, and fun energy with friends/family. Great spot to watch a game too.

We were in the area and stopped in for the first time on Saturday night after our x-mas pictures and I am so glad we did. We dined upstairs, they had music which is something they are planning to do on occasions throughout the winter. The owners are incredibly nice, our waitress was so sweet & super attentive. We just had a casual dinner with great drinks, wings and their specialty pizzas, all fantastic! My 6 year old son said they make the best wings & Shirley temples. My husband and I can't wait to have a date night soon and check out there downstairs bar area as well! If you are in the area definitely check it out!

I'm thrilled to share my review of Pickett's Village bar in Maplewood. The Chicken Diablo sandwich, Jersey Strong burger, and Big Easy pie were all absolutely delicious. Their diverse selection of beers and wines added to the enjoyment. The service was top-notch, and the overall atmosphere provided a fantastic experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Pickett's Village bar - it's a must-visit!

Good food, good drinks, good atmosphere (inside and outside when it's open) and great service. Every time we go, we leave full and happy. Also bonus as it's great to get adult drinks while entertaining babies - there's room for strollers and everyone is nice about it :)

A cozy atmosphere. Nice simple decor. Obviously a nice addition to the local area as another local hang spot. Bartender was friendly and gave me time to decide as well as chatted it up for a few minutes. Sometimes bartenders are too cut and dry. Ample space for groups. Quite a few families with kids. I came around 5:45ish. Not very loud which I appreciate. I ordered the honey sriracha wings & sweet potato fries (simple since I was real hungry and don't want to be disappointed). So the fries were good, as expected. The wings had a little kick but didn't really taste the honey or much spice (I like spice). Think I probably would try the chipotle lime wings next time. Overall I like the place as a nice after work chill spot. Down side: no happy hour. The food I'd probably give 3 stars. But the friendliness of the bar staff, and chill vibe of the place makes me feel like bumping up it's score.Note: decided to keep at 3 stars. Feel the food could've been more flavorful. Still nice place to chill with a drink.

Okay, I'd like to give this place more stars, because the food is good and service was decent and friendly. But... the prices, sheesh! This is a neighborhood pub; it's not the Highlawn. My wife, two kids, and I (four people total) went there on a Sunday and got burgers and tacos and such, with one appetizer. My wife and I each had one drink. No desserts or extra sides or anything. The bill, before tip, was $149! The food was generally good, but, man, that bill stung. For pub food, we'll be sticking with the Shillelagh Club and St. James Gate.

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Pickett's Village Bar. We threw my son's first birthday party in their private room upstairs and everything about the process was seamless. Nick, the manager, was extremely easy and lovely to work with and made sure the party was perfect. The employees that worked at the party were friendly and super helpful. They made my son's first birthday party a huge success and all of our friends and family were extremely impressed.
