SO, I order from here rather often. It is close to my house, I can get delivery directly from them, rather then using a service (like doordash). Though, I will pick it up myself most of the time. The pizza is good. Is it the best - no. I can get better elsewhere, but it is the best of the places close to my home. Any place better requires a minimum 15-20 min drive each way. There are at least 4 other places just as close as Villa Maria, but their pizza is not as good. Their garlic knots and mozz sticks are great as well. I also appreciate the family specials they have. My only knock is that when you order the specials online, the online menu says a price, but for some reason, the price is always $2 higher in your basket. But since it is a deal, I can't really complain.

It is inconsistent. We got excellent pizza a couple of times so we were excited, but then it was just good or so-so a bunch of times after. Unfortunately I recently picked up a pizza that is burnt. It looks and tastes burnt. So disappointing. I don’t feel like driving all the way back to complain but it’s just inedible. Complete waste of our money. They shouldn’t have let it go out to a customer. Staff is always friendly but maybe they need to be told to check what they sell. I didn’t see the owner there today. I assume he wouldn’t have let it be sold.

We ordered pizza for the second time from Village Maria. The first time, the large pizza we got was delicious, but very small. I really wanted to try ordering again because the pizza was very good, and was hoping the size of the large would be bigger. It in fact, was! Maybe the first time was a fluke. The pizza has a crunchy crust, great amount of sweet sauce, and flavorful cheese. We always order fresh garlic, and this pizza left nothing to be desired. If you are doing take out, prepare your oven to 475, and reheat the pizza. Definitely comparable to Denino's in Matawan-which is a great compliment. We also ordered the wings- very moist and delicious. The garlic bread was on the small side, and could have used more garlic, but the bread was better quality than typical pizza places in the area. We will definitely be ordering pizza from here again. Try it out!

Halloween night I went here to order two pizzas for my wife and kids. I was told it would be twenty minutes and it cost 45 dollars which I paid upfront. I waited in the restaurant for an hour. My wife texted me if I was okay. When I asked about my pizzas I was told they were given to a door dash order, and there was no pizza for me. An old man who came in 30 minutes after me and ordered to go got his pizzas and left. I understand they were overwhelmed but I literally was waiting in the restaurant and no one even bothered to tell me anything. No update or apologies. There was another customer who got angry and got his pizzas. I did not take my anger out on them, I misdirected my anger at my wife which was wrong. This review is to air grievances. Not going back here, it ruined my Halloween. There were literally dozens of pizzas sitting on the top of the oven and I got nothing, I guess I'm not important. I wish I had picked up two frozen pizzas instead.

I stopped in real quick for a bite to eat in the middle of the day, the pizza tasted like it was a day old The place appeared dirty and the location was not inviting nor were the people that were working there. Since I have never been there before I can't say if this is consistently the issue but if I'm ever in the area I will definitely not be back

FINALLY!!! GOOD PIZZA IN NJ! I've lived in NJ for 12 years and I finally found a great pizzeria!. Sauce is seasoned, cheese is not plain and the crust is crispy. If you are looking for NY pizza this is the place.

When I saw the name on this pizzeria I had to stop in and ask, "Are you the same guys from Great Kills in Staten Island, NY?"Their answer was Yes.I couldn't believe it, I went to the location in SI 3-4 times a week as a kid, the food, service and staff always great. If you want great pizza in Monmouth County NJ: Marlboro, Freehold, Manalapan area, you have to go to Village Maria Pizzeria.

Nice crust on the pizza. Fast delivery. We like this as a local pizza delivery joint.

I've always ordered from Pizza & Pasta Factory for many years. One day after a bike ride, we decided to stop in to Village Maria Pizza which we've never eaten at before. We order the BBQ Chicken Pizza, Grandmas slice and a Broccoli roll. At first I was skeptical because the BBQ was not the typical color of a BBQ sauce I've seen before and almost skipped it.I took a chance and boy, I was quite delighted. The BBQ was different but in a great way. I was a bit creamy and the chicken was very tender. The Grandma's slice was perfect and the Broccoli roll was quite tasty as well. Two weeks later we orders from Village Maria Pizza again and again, it did not disappoint. Much better at the restaurant right out of the oven but the food was nonetheless delicious.
