I recently revisited this CHOPT location on Rt. 73 willing to give them another chance after an experience last year, where my vegetarian meal was compromised due to careless placement of shrimp near the vegetables, resulting in cross-contamination and nausea after ingesting and realizing. This was a direct affront to my dietary principles, leaving me quite upset. Having not returned since that incident, my latest visit was an opportunity to see if any improvements had been made, yet it only served to validate my previous grievances.During my latest visit, the guy who prepared my wrap was wearing gloves, which initially seemed reassuring. However, my relief quickly turned to dismay as I watched him handle various items, including the cash register, without changing or removing his gloves before touching the food again. This disregard for basic hygiene and cross-contamination protocols was alarming, especially considering he was handling my wrap.Moreover, when he handed me my to-go order, it wasn’t even placed in a bag. I was instructed to fetch one myself near the utensils, which struck me as odd. This was nothing compared to the hygiene issues, though.Reflecting on both visits, it’s clear that my concerns about food safety and hygiene standards are valid. I’ve decided not to return to this location. I threw out the wrap and lost $15 without addressing it with them to avoid drama. However, I felt it was important to share my experience to inform others and hopefully prompt improvements in their food handling practices.

I’ve eaten here a few times now. Each time I’ve tried something else. Salads, wraps, warm bowls. I’ve found the food underwhelming and overpriced every single time.This visit I ordered the Classic Cobb with croutons added. The entire salad was lacking something. The chicken had a weird texture and the “bacon” may as well have not even been in it. Tiny little flecks that added absolutely nothing.This will be the last time we eat here.
