An amazingly friendly environment with great food and a nice southern BBQ atmosphere. The all-you-can-eat ribs are an addicting, one-of-a-kind staple. Staff is extremely helpful and responsive when you communicate with them. Very rare to find such a personable staff. A+ food! A+ atmosphere! A++ service!

Arrived for dinner approximately 7 pm Sunday April, 14th. Was seated immediately and then ignored for the next 15 minutes. Wait staff walked past us a number of times and did not once greet us or stop at our table. Tables around us were being assisted while we sat there. They had food and didn't seem to require much help, but staff kept stopping at their tables. Stood up and walked out 15 minutes after being seated.

I've been going to Big Ed's since 1998 and I haven't been disappointed.I grew up in Matawan and when I visit my grandparents I make it a point to get my all you can eat ribs.I highly recommend Big Ed's to everybody and you will too because it is great.Kid-friendliness: I have 3 daughters and they love Big Ed's.The staff is always friendly

I loved coming here until I went Saturday. It's been awhile because it is a drive for my family to go, but I came up to enjoy. They got rid of their birch beer and red cream soda which was disappointing. Then the food my Mac n cheese wasn't even warm. The ribs when I got the honey BBQ wasn't hot and when I got the dry rub I couldn't even swallow it bc the meat was so dry and tough. Very disappointing
