The mocha I got was somehow both acidic and bitter. A bit of chocolate flavor. Sweetness was good. But I don't think I like whatever espresso they use.

my friend and i were looking for a place to eat and Cais looked so pretty from the outside, I am really not one to leave bad reviews but this needed it, I asked for a BLT no tomatoes and my friend French Toast the food was overpriced the coffee as well would not recommend.

Really cool local coffee spot. Nice place to relax or get some work done. The community is lucky to have a place like this.

Hello, every oneIt's this quaintesentialcafè at Metuchen, NJ.I loved it the first time & visited it the second time for a dine in and coffee.Hazelnut cappuccino is my favourite here.i do recommend that for each one to try.The patttiserie section is simply delicious& lip smacking. And to add ,their crumpled cake Slice is a must try.I'm also gonna add a few pics here by the end of my review.Overall, a quick "to go "place & a serene area within the cafe to sit ,spend time , work or read.A very family friendly café !Muchas gracias to team Café Cai.

I was awaiting a reservation for another restaurant and stopped in to grab a water and try a Peach Iced Tea. I waited at the counter and was given odd looks. No one serviced me and ignored me. Another woman came in and they addressed her immediately. I felt discriminated against because the cafe was pretty empty and I was the only Black person. I was waiting at the register and made eye contact with the staff but they treated me as invisible and tended to someone else as soon as they walked in. After I noticed the difference in treatment, I put the water back and left without purchasing. If you are Black, I don't think this is the most welcoming environment and you will be ignored or stared at like a criminal.

Walked through this town heading back to NYC and almost every shop was closed. Thank goodness this spot was open and was pretty busy. My challenge is always GF options which is not as common in some of the smaller shops. They had pastries and coffee's but not GF we figured out their shakes are actually GF which I was grateful for. She suggested the peanut butter banana smoothie which was great and filling. Cute spot and a nice alternative to some of the chain coffee shops if you're looking to work in an open space.

I love their warm and cozy vibes and their selection of hot tea. Definitely going to come back more often to hang out and read or crochet.Update 1/11/24: I tried their hot chocolate and was pleasantly surprised by how it was not too sweet! Not a super strong chocolate flavor but it was rich enough to be warm and comforting

great little cozy cafe but sadly the coffee itself was extremely bad. I urge the cafe owners to rectify it before it's too late.

Incredibly rude staff. Do to the holiday they decided to close at 2 pm. This is fine, I walked in at 1:39 to which they replied can't you see we are closing. I will never come back. Closing at 2 would typically mean 2. Being rude to customers while never benefit any establishment. Sad thing is I was recommended this. Can't wait to tell everyone my experience

Best Americano in the area, hands down. Rich, complex, the right strength, and always served very hot, just the way I like it.

Hot coffee - which was not hot and an option of heating it in microwave was given!Hot chocolate - which was not hot and the kid tasted, refused to drink saying it's bad.Earl Grey tea - of course earl grey was not served and with the amount of tea in the bag a whole pot could have been brewed!

Love this locally owned coffee shop in the heart of downtown Machuchen. On a cold Monday came by as a suggestion from another local business and was not disappointed. As entered, we could smell the aroma of good, strongly made coffee. The chill music and vibe of this Cafe would be perfect for studying or relaxing. The staff was superb as they made the coffee extra hot as requested with a design for our Yelping images. It was easy to get to with metered parking up front and was exactly what was wanted on a cold, windy day. Return: likely
