One star for the inconvenient hours. 12 to 6 and only 4 days a week?So they're open for lunch but not an early lunch. Open for dinner but only if you want to eat before 6pm.I hope this business fails.

I was having a rough day but was lucky enough to stop by Comida Fresca at the right time today. There was a gentleman working there and he went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service to me and my children. It really turned our day around. Thank you, Spencer.

Please sell your liquor license. You are open three days a week and your food is garbage. There are only 6 licenses in Metuchen. And yours is useless. Thank you.

I had an order of two fish tacos that were unbelievably small for $8 that were extremely dry. The corn tortillas were literally stale and the fish was beyond well done with hardly any sauce on the tacos. DO NOT go here if you want Mexican food!

Honestly wasn't expecting much but the tacos here were the worst tacos I've ever had and not because it tasted bad, but because it had NO flavor at all and it was dry as hell. They really should close down they have no business selling tacos. Spanish food is flavorful. I ordered "queso frito" and what came out was mozzarella sticks lmao. If you know spanish food you know it aint supposed to be mozzarella sticks! I should've known it was bad when I walked in and there was no spanish music boomin lmao.

Two words. Water. Tacos.

Food is ok, cost, not so much. I ordered tacos and they are a bit overpriced for amount of tacos that you get. The Guacamole was really good though and that’s honestly the only reason I am giving the place 3 stars. They also have complimentary water, so help yourself.

Wish I could say I liked it. Understaffed with unhappy employees... for years we keep giving it a chance...disappointed every single time. Only one sparkle in this place...Pamela...

As much as I want to love this place with its outdoor string lights and fun decor, I can't say much more than it being okay. I went to an authentic family-owned Mexican restaurant recently and that really put into perspective what this place lacks. One small gripe is that I can't order 3 tacos since the tacos come in orders of 2. 2 tacos aren't enough for me and 4 are too much, plus I do not want to be spending $12 for tacos. Additionally, the actual flavor of the tacos are okay, but not anything that would draw me back here. The jalapeños do give a nice kick but the proteins, white sauce, and taco shell are lacking in seasoning. While satisfying, the tacos don't really make me want to come back here that often. What I do like about Comida Fresca is that it's a fast casual restaurant where they bring the food to you, but you get your own water and seat yourself so no tip required. It's interesting to see Whole Foods explore other cuisines, but much is to be desired in the flavors, including the Asian cuisine options that they have available inside the store. I'm curious about the other options that they offer here, so I'm willing to try those and maybe update my review. For now, I am okay with not coming back for some time so that I can get my taco cravings fulfilled elsewhere. If you're looking for a quick fix of Mexican food, then Comida Fresca is the place for you!
