This place is disgusting. The people who work there are slow and don't know how to handle food. They can't keep their hands clean, smear fingerprints on everything. The tables are dirty. I will never go back!

I used to LOVE this place. I'd literally go every other day. Now, it is TERRIBLE. All the poke items are ALWAYS old. They look like they've been sitting out all night. Also, I have to call before I go because they may not have anything. There must have been a staff overhaul because the young ladies who used to work there are gone. There are some young men there and they are, well, young men who seem to not know much. The owner needs to figure this out because it's a snowball rolling downhill fast and it won't end up good.

Love this place! Me and my friend were here for lunch today. Food is really good, I always frequent okie pokie in highland, but tried this today and i kept telling the staff how good the food is! The staff is also very nice and so polite! Will be coming back with my family

Was looking for a quick bite for lunch with healthier options and stumbled upon fresh coast. I built my own bowl with tofu. Service was quick. Food was tasty and tofu was cooked perfectly. Definitely a good option for a quick, fresh, healthy meal. They seem to have plenty of options for customization as well as pre designed poke bowls. Price was reasonable, no more than your large chain lunch spots.

Second time at this location and I will sadly say I will never be coming back. Unfortunately this location is not meeting the same standards as the original location in Newark. The prep counter was filthy and our bowls were very sloppy, the zoodles were dragging out of the bowl as she moved them across the counter. I hope the owners address this issue promptly.

I put in my order via Caviar app on Tuesday for today which is Friday and the driver called me saying that the restaurant does not see my order. So I cancel my order thru the app and order directly with Fresh Coast. They handed the order to the same driver, mind you, the driver does not work for them. They work for Caviar app. 2 hours later, my order never came thru. I called to see why and the person at the restaurant said he has no idea because he doesnt even have a contact for the driver. He also said to me “well, I did make the order for you”. This was his answer after I asked for a refund. Horrible horrible customer service. By the way, this was my first time ordering from this place. I do hope my meal gets refunded by the restaurant.

My girlfriend and I love coming here for the fruit bowls + poke bowls for dinner - best of both worlds! Staff are always very nice, they really pack the fruit bowls haha more than playa bowls. Highly recommend!

2 stars only because I used to love coming here. The last 2 times I ordered- The bowls were so bad that it actually warranted me to write this. The quality has gone downhill. One bowl was basically all sauce and no poke! I could count the total protein cubes on one hand. I don't recommend coming here.

literally obsessed with this place. a friend recommended it to me so i got a market bowl on a whim, and let me tell you, hands down one of the most delicious meals i’ve ever had. im definitely a loyal customer now. great service and great food. i especially love the curried cauliflower, the flavor is on 10. thanks for the wonderful meal!

The food was excellent!! Great for healthy options and gluten free! I got a market bowl with brown rice, roasted chicken, carrots, and sweet potato which was sooo yummy!! They also gave me an extra side because I had to wait a bit longer for my food to be cooked. My friend had a half acai & half pitaya bowl which she really liked too! I would definitely come back again!!

I was really hesitant to write this review because Fresh Coast is one of my favorite places in the Metuchen area. Recently, I ordered a Large Poke Bowl and it was frankly disappointing. They were missing several items and the avocado was extremely hard. The man who made it put way too much sauce on, by time I arrived home my bowl was soggy :( It's unfortunate because I usually enjoy my bowls when the young ladies are there but whenever the man is there, which is often, I'm usually less satisfied. He seems very disorganized and honestly a little rude. Again, I'm not saying you should avoid Fresh Coast, just maybe come by when the girls are working for a better experience.

We came in to get food for a late lunch. Around 1:30. Upon starting our order, we were told that there were many items not available. They needed around 10 minutes to heat them up. We sit down and wait. The worker seemed very confused with what we were ordering. Having never been here before, I would expect the staff to be helpful in ordering. The menu was relatively straightforward but the workers seemed like they had never read it before. Approximately 15 minutes later, another worker comes over and says “oh it’ll just be about 5 or 6 more minutes”. We walked out after at least 25 minutes. They forgot one of the dressings that we asked for. The brussel sprouts and carrots were undercooked and hard. We had to microwave them to make them edible. The chicken in our bowl was also hard and over cooked.$30 for two bowls that I could’ve made at home (and they would’ve been better) for $4.

I was very impressed with my bowl ? I got zucchini noddles, shrimp ?, crab ? meat, mango slices, cucumber ? jalapeño peppers ? and a bunch of other veggies. Enough to satisfied my appetite for 2 hours lol ? I will keep ordering as long as I don’t get food poisoning or the food taste old. Based on a few comments below, some people complained about those things. So far, no problem. Also, they forgot to give me utensils ? but the food was fresh and tasty as they promise!
