The food was okay. The restaurant is BYOB. For a Saturday evening they weren't too busy. The food came out within a 10 mins time frame. The alambre had great flavors and was cooked to perfection. The flautas were a little undercooked, meaning the tortilla itself should have been crispy all around but wasn't. The chile relleno was coated nicely and smothered in a decent amount of sauce. The rice and beans weren't anything out of the normal. I felt the rice lacked flavor. The space itself and the staff were very welcoming and attentive.

They need to update their online menu. I called for a lunch special and they no longer have lunch specials. They lost business.

Nice hole in the wall restaurant. It can get loud depending on how full the restaurant is. But since we were in the back we got a quiet spot :) One thing is the red lights and dim lit restaurant makes the place dark. I wish they brightened up the space with regular lights instead of the colored lights. Made the pictures come out dark too (see pictures for reference) The food was amazing! I loved the guac we ordered for appetizers. Nachos were okay, I have had better. The entrees both were good, flavorful and good portions. They served the rice/beans in tortilla cups so more food to eat! (Not that we finished it all) I took off 1 star because the service was really slow. It took them 45 minutes to give us just appetizers and another maybe 50 minutes for the entrees. We waited for quite some time for the food!! Also their fountain drinks are flat. Just order something bottled instead! When we went they were out of stock on most of the advertised bottled drinks.

I should've known not to have high expectations when you can on a Saturday afternoon and they have no problem taking a reservation for a party of 14 the same evening. Service was slow and there weren't many people in the place other than our group. Waited an hour and a half for food to come out. When it arrived, other than fajitas, everything was cold. The waitress took the dishes back to warm, probably in the microwave. 2 of us had the steak which was so small, fatty and flavorless, not worth the almost $27 we paid for it. Other people said their food was okay. Ordered a few fried ice creams and they must've run out of vanilla and decided to give chocolate instead, which the consensus was that it was awful. Even the kids didn't eat it. Churros were said to be good though. After being there for about 2 1/2 hours, the bill comes and we come to find they charge for everything. Fajitas and Tacos didn't come with cheese so they charged $2 for a tiny cup of it, not even enough for one fajita. They even charged $1.50 for a small portion of hot sauce and sour cream. Who charges for hot sauce? We questioned the bill and the waitress had the nerve to show the menu where it lists those items as sides. Sides! Seriously? She even said that when they tell people upfront about those charges they get mad, so clearly they know it's an issue. Most places provide hot sauce and most fajitas and tacos come with cheese and sour cream. After some dispute, they ultimately did take those "side" items off the check. But the nerve, after slow, poor service and reheated food that they would've been more compensating. Due to our party size they included an automatic 20% gratuity, which on the amount of our bill, the waitress definitely did not deserve. Needless to say we will not be returning. Very disappointing since it's a nice little place, to have this quality food and service.

I came to Mariachi with a small group of friends, for our monthly book club meet. The decor is very festive and welcoming, and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The music was enjoyable and at a nice level, but I think the acoustics for the guest's chatter did make it feel louder than other restaurants. It was hard to hear my friend who was sitting furthest from me at times. I ordered the steak nachos, the portion was great and every chip seemed to have a good amount of toppings so I was happy about that. It was enjoyable, but nothing that set it apart from other nachos I've had from other places. My friends all seemed to really enjoy their meals and there is a definite authentic flair that was appreciated by all of us. I think next time I come I will get a meal that is more traditional- but I was really craving nachos on this night! We shared a pitcher of sangria but it tasted watered down to me and didn't have as much flavor as I would have expected. I wouldn't get it again. The churros we shared at the end of our meal was my favorite part hands down!! They were warm, with a fluffy center and came with ice cream and chocolate sauce for dipping.

Stopped here for lunch with a friend. What a great place to enjoy delicious Mexican food! The restaurant is very colorful and bright with delightful, eye-catching paintings on the wall as well as other fun decor. Plenty of seating to accommodate small and large groups alike. The menu is huge and has a lot of great options to choose from. The guacamole was served in a huge portion and was really fresh and chunky. The red sangria was perfectly tasty and not overly sweet. We shared the steak tacos for an appetizer and I loved those, they were well seasoned and the green salsa it was served with was excellent. We also split the camaron scampi (shrimp scampi) which was really good and garlicky. I highly recommend the beef enchiladas, they were really flavorful. Not the biggest portion of enchiladas but we had so much other food to share that it didn't matter. Dessert is a must as well; the tres leches and churros were perfect. Our server, Carlos, was really friendly and hospitable. I recommend stopping by here for a meal, it was well worth it from the fun environment to the food!
