This was the longest wait I think I have ever waited for food. It took us around 30-45 minutes to get our food and we were starving. The food was average. Also the music was all covers. ? They were so nice though.

If you’re vegan or vegetarian don’t come here! They prepare food on the same surface and my sushi also had shrimp tempura even though i specified no meat. I also threw up the entire roll I ordered because of this issue. Also, they do no adjust prices proportionally to this charge. they take no accountability and actually blame the customer even though I asked for my sushi to be prepared separately.

My fiance and I love sushi so we decided to check out this spot out and it was incredible. The best sushi we’ve had in a while. The fish and rolls tasted fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate. Even the mango mochi was delish! Definitely coming back for our next date night to explore more of the menu.

This is my #1 place to go for Sushi. The food is ALWAYS fresh. The Kani salad is the best and i have it every time i am there. The flavor of the juices incredible. The new Dubai roll blew my mind.

12:50pm on our lunch break, and we were the only ones at the resto (2 people). It was empty but we stood by the entrance waiting to be greeted and seated but it took a whole minute for the server/sushi chef to do so. Once we were seated, it took 5 mins for him to give us our menus- he was just sitting by the sushi bar area. We flagged him, he took our orders. He disappeared into the kitchen. 12:25pm (YES, 30 Minutes Since we arrived)- no food, no drinks, nor miso soup that came with our lunch entree. I had to stand up and go by the kitchen to ask where our food was. and remember, this was a lunch break where we only had 1 hour. The server/chef came and I told him we have been waiting for 30 minutes and our tables didn't have our drinks or any food. And 30 minutes is way too long! He said "give me 5 minutes, it'll be quick." THATS WHEN WE STARTED MAKING OUR SUSHI, guys. He had 5 minutes after he took our orders to make our 2 orders of 2 rolls and miso soup-- but for some odd and stupid reason he made us wait 35 MINUTES TO START MAKING OUR LUNCH. Mind you we were STILL the only ones in the restaurant ! I don't know what would've happened if we didn't ask for our food!!! WTH! Our rolls came with too much rice I had to shave down with my chopsticks and although the rolls were decent, it's not something I would pay for. We scarfed down our food and left. Miso soup looked good but didn't taste like miso soup- it had tofu and seaweed but no flavor. Our rolls were decent but not good enough for $15 for 2 rolls and miso soup. Look for someplace else especially for this price point. Parking lot, pretty interior but that is basically it.

I’ve been to this restaurant three times already with my significant other. It’s a cute and cozy Asian-Latin fusion sushi spot and it’s BYOB. Service was fast and attentive. There weren’t that many people the few times I’ve come here on a Friday evening. The presentation of the food was lovely. I always have to order the empanadas for starters, they come out piping hot but super crispy and flavorful. The kani salad and miso soup are standard but good. My favorite classic hand rolls from here are the spicy salmon and sweet potato rolls. I’m also a fan of the passion fruit lemonade. I’d recommend checking out this place for sushi with flair or for a cute date night.

Disappointed about the hibachi… no tasty, the noodles extremely unhealthy grease everything. Expensive in comparison with any place and the food that I’m getting plus they don’t bother to mention the extra change for the fried rice.

Rio of Japan is a sushi lover's paradise, and two standout items on their menu are the Salmon Avocado Roll and the California Roll. The Salmon Avocado Roll is a masterpiece of freshness, combining velvety slices of salmon with creamy avocado. The combination is a perfect harmony of textures and flavors, with the rich, buttery salmon complementing the smoothness of the avocado. It's a must-try for anyone seeking a luxurious sushi experience. The California Roll at Rio of Japan is a timeless classic that never disappoints. Featuring succulent crab meat, crisp cucumber, and creamy avocado, this roll is a delightful medley of flavors and textures. The expertly prepared ingredients are rolled in a layer of perfectly seasoned rice and topped with sesame seeds, resulting in a satisfying bite that's both comforting and satisfying. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or a newcomer to Japanese cuisine, these rolls at Rio of Japan are guaranteed to impress and leave you craving more of their exceptional sushi creations.
