“I went to order three lunch menu combination meals. I asked to have the sauce on the side for the sweet-and-sour chicken and was told it would be a .50 extra. Then I asked for a little container of hot oil and was told that would be a dollar extra. I’ve been going to this Chinese restaurant a couple times now and I’ve never been charged extra for sauce on the side or hot oil. The woman there is extremely nasty and refused to give me it without charging me extra. Well, they just lost out on a $30 sale and I will never ever return to this Chinese restaurant again. I believe the woman used to work at Look See in Ramsey. Very unfriendly and nasty woman.“

“Been coming here since I was a kid and it's been my favorite place for Chinese food all these years. The quality of the food is fantastic and I think it's gotten better over time! Their sesame chicken was my favorite as a kid and since I became a pescatarian, their sesame tofu has become my favorite! They always managed to make their chicken so crisp and they do the same with their tofu! And the sesame sauce is my favorite I've had. “A gem of a Peruvian restaurant in NJ!The food is really delicious, the grilled chicken crispy, tasty. Lomo saltado, soft, juicy meat full of Peruvian flavor. The dry, very soft, juicy meat. They open at 12 pm I recommend arriving early to try the dry food with beans. “The sliders may be the wrong kind of simplicity, not fulfilling an obvious niche when everything from White Castle to Ye Olde Gentrified Microbrew's $32 truffle burger offers more adornments to their beef. But the butter noodles seem more valuable if you're just in the mood for sauce; the Thai curry was a decently spicy coconut-based concoction. The wings were enjoyable. As an occasionally overloud advocate of chicken with bones, I applaud the option to get wings with a general Tso's sauce. Other options including Buffalo and teriyaki.“

“I had to deduct one star because my favorite Layl Shishi item is no longer on the menu. The VIP Cholent Plate (aka the Heimishe Sombrero) was truly a dish worthy of the VIP mantle. Cholent (bean or barley), potato kugel, kiskha, jachnun, eggs, Gedempte Fleish and two slices of garlic toast. Truly a way to end the workweek and rocket towards Shabbos.The poppers are still a strong contender tho - so I'll typically get those for my forschpeiz and get a sombrero elsewhere. Solid eating.“

“okay they made one mistake in my order, they gave me white rice instead of brown rice. the tofu dinner was a little bit bland, but otherwise the place is good. it had been recommended to me by a friend. This is exactly the dish I wanted from another restaurant that was closed so I had it delivered along with other items. There was no description of the noodles but I was pleasantly surprised that it was a House Special with all mixed shrimp and meats. It was also much better than I expected, not shocking because this place is good but because this is not the cuisine they focus on.
