Used to be a great place. These days, the dining room is noisy and the food is mediocre. The one waiter who services all the tables rarely checks on anyone, but expects a tip at the end of the meal. The food used to be a lot better. The only thing I enjoy there these days is their signature Ballerina Salad and pizza. The pasta dishes are nothing special, and much smaller in size than a few years ago.

This place is a total gem! Food is excellent. And, the best of all, Larry the dining room waiter is better than excellent. He has mastered the art of serving. He does not just serve his customers he conducts a symphony of service. Everything is carefully choreographed to the liking of each table. Absolutely the best of the best old school ristorante. Cannot wait for our next visit!

As a group of 10, we had every course from appetizers to dessert. Every order was delicious and plentiful. Their appies of calamari and bruschetta were our favorite. They served their house and Cesear salad family style for us, so many tried both. Our group ordered seafood, pasta, veal and their special of short ribs. Every meal was spectacular with 1/2 eating every bit. The other half taking some home because it was too much to finish. Their zeppoles are the best, not greasy. The staff is amazing. Gabby, our waitress, was the best.Thank you to everyone for making our family get together so spectacular.

The sweetest people work here and the food is deliciousDietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza is always welcome, but I’d assume it’s not for the extremely sensitive considering this is an Italian restaurant
The food is just ok. I find it to be inconsistent.the best item on the menu is the stuffed artichoke, the bread is always fresh and pear salad is good.

We started with the calamari toscano special - with cherry peppers, capers, tomato. Very tasty. Easily could have been a main course if served with a bit of pasta. Lady had the zuppa de pesce, which was voluminous and delicious. The short ribs raviloi with wild mushrooms would be a big hit with mushroom fans. Excellent serves. Nice simple decor.

This place is a great choice for casual Italian-American food. The pizza is underrated...you'll never see it on the lists of "best in the area" and, far as I know, it has not been "rated" by that Jackass that everyone thinks is an expert all of a sudden. But it is consistently well seasoned and the crust, a bit soft for some, is for me delightfully chewy (not raw) and subtly well-flavored. They have not bought into the "artisan" thing and keep it simple. Love it. Here is one place ---- so surprisingly and inexplicably rare in North Jersey----that knows from good eggplant parmigiana. As in Italy, they do not bury it in fried breadcrumbs or overdo the seasoning. My go to here....sauce is light, fresh tasting and complements the dish.I'd keep it simple ..... don't recommend going with the more complicated dishes (but that's just me; my wife does and she loves them, especially the Francaise.)Recommended with enthusiasm----would add a half star if that were an option
