So I wanted to bring my sis here for some seafood ramen. I had tried their food before via delivery thru an app and enjoyed it sooo much. We went on a Friday afternoon and were seated right away. We knew exactly what we wanted, so we ordered quickly. In the meantime, we were given some water with mint leaves and lemon... oh, so great (I have to do that at home). Our ramen came out pretty quickly and it was delicious as always...my picky sister loved it... This food reslly hit the spot. We'll be back to try other soups.

Went with my family, we were 3 adults and 2 kids , got charged a "mandatory" gratuity of 18%, when i asked why? the lady told me "party of 5 are automatically charged 18% gratuity", really????? And when I asked if she was really counting 2 kids as adults, her answer was, they are human right?, never coming back to a business with such shady practices, i was going to leave a tip anyways, but dont force it and put it as mandatory in the bill.

Was coming here for several years, and always happy. But today customer service was just way too bad. We were the first customers to walk in, it was 3 of us. The lady gave us only 2 menus. We were ready to order as a couple with children walked in, they were seated and taken an order right away, while we were just ignored. We decided to walk out and go some place else at this point.

I wish I could give 10 stars because Sum Ramen is my favorite ramen shop!!! Their ramens and food are so delicious and service is outstanding. Highly recommend and you must try. I always go hiking at south mountain then go to Sum Ramen so that I can eat more lol. Love Sum Ramen ? !!!

We have been eating Sum Ramen for many years, at least few times monthly. As regular and routine customers, we continue to love Sum Ramen as they have the most authentic and nutritious broth and they served the most delicious healthy version of karate chicken. It is the best ramen restaurant in New Jersey, every dish is exceptionally delicious and their customer service is also superior, everyone smiles and wait time is absolute phenomenally quick within 5 min, 4 servings of ramen and appetizers are already in front of you. Kids friendly and clean environment, we highly recommend and will continue to eat at both Sum Ramen locations!

OUTSTANDING!We chose two different Ramen dishes for take out- The Black Garlic Ramen and the spicy Sum Ramen. Both were incredible! The flavors were rich but subtle, each came with plenty of ramen, shiitake mushrooms, veggies and soy sauce egg. This place has quickly taken become our favorite local Ramen place, and rivals our former favorite in NYC! So happy to have them here locally! ?
Everything is really good from here - the tonkutsu ramen, bao buns, and fried chicken is my favorite ?

So let's first off say the food overall was pretty good and the service was amazing. We started with the boneless karage which was very very bland. It was flavorless and desperately needed sauce. The sauces that came with the appetizer was pretty flavorful that being said and saved the dish. The ramen here was also pretty good if a tad bit salty. The ramen we ordered were the sum ramen, black garlic and tonkotsu. they were all good but the black garlic had spinach in the ramen which I've never saw done before. The wait staff was nice but the food took a bit to come out making the time frame between the appetizer and the meal very large.

I had to look for a while for good ramen in NJ and am glad to find this place. Love the black garlic and sum ramen options as well as the gyoza choices. Also fun to occasionally get one of the cream sodas. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: A friend that joined us has been recommending this place too because of their vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options.
