We stopped in for some cocktails and we absolutely loved the atmosphere at the bar. The wall of roses behind us so was unique! We ordered a round of cocktails, then ordered the Brussel sprouts and the spicy salmon roll. Unfortunately the salmon consistency was off and the Brussels were sitting in a bowl of balsamic. We were looking forward to crispy Brussel sprouts like the menu indicated. We ordered two glasses of wine from the west coast and they were great. Would love to give the food another try. Busy on a Friday night but we snagged two bar stools. Live music was setting up on the second floor where they have additional tables and a lounge area. Make a reservation if you want to sit and have dinner.

After countless people have told me to go here I finally did and it did not disappoint! My table had the halibut, diver scallops, and the filet mignon and each dish was the best we’ve ever had! Our server Pete was amazing, funny, friendly, and did not rush us even though we arrived around 8pm. Highly recommend!

Arrival: would not let you sit until the whole party has arrived which can be ok except that there is absolutely no space set up as a waiting area so highly uncomfortable when you show up 5m in na early Menu: came for brunch - no eggs/omelets to order - everything is set as is and extra charge Service: ok at best - no recommendations, no water refills Atmosphere: really cute set up even if a bit tight from a space standpoint, decor is exquisite and the noise level is really low for a busy place - lots of charming personality

I wish I would have liked this place more. I felt the drinks were great - and the food was good. I felt like paying $40 for a scallop dish you should get more than 4 scallops. I know food costs have gone up but this felt very light on proteins across the board. Also, even though I made reservations well in advance we were crammed in a table that really should only have been for two people and we were four. Honestly, I'm not sure I would return.

Overall, the dining experience was very good. The food was delicious with one exception: The only thing lacking in the food department was the bread. We asked for bread and butter and a very skimpy plate of small bread pieces was brought to our table. Appetizers, entrees and desserts were all very good and beautifully presented.

I experience last night on a date night was amazing, we absolutely love the food, and the drinks were exquisite, the mood. Amazing, it's dark, romantic, and the couches are great idea to make it feel like a romantic vibe. Highly recommend for people to go

We had a lovely experience here. My father follows a very particular diet and our waitress and chef were extremely accommodating and kind. The food was really delicious and well cooked. Would definitely come again!

Seated at a table in the middle of two rows of traffic and told hostess we would rather wait for a booth she indicated should be finished soon. After 30 minutes she was clearing a high top table that was not at all what we agreed to waiting for and she told me with some attitude that she had only said the table was almost finished but they had just gotten entrees. Felt like she was not accommodating or even trying to be hospitable so we left. We were told we couldn’t sit at a booth for a 5 top because of an incoming reservation but saw a table of two seated at a booth for 3/4 people. They were seated at a both for larger parties because “they wanted to” Left frustrated and wondering why the seating rules and methodology was so inconsistent as someone who works in the NY restaurant scene myself.

I really hate leaving this review. I've eaten here twice and the food has been so very good both times. I couldn't wait to take my boyfriend here. There were no reservations for seven so I opted for 9 PM. Thinking that it would be worth it. We arrive. It was so noisy. We are screaming across the table at each other. Took forever to order. I had the crabcake appetizer. The bottom was burnt. I sent it back. They made me a new one. It was pretty good, it did not come out hot, nor warm. My entrée was the charred octopus which I've had before, and it's always delicious. As soon as the waiter put it in front of me, it smelled so bad, like it had been defrosting and sitting on the counter for over a day. Very bad aroma. I took one bite, and it tasted so fishy. The texture was mealy and soft, not dense. I spoke to the waiter and told him to take it back. And then he came back and said unfortunately, there's no one in the kitchen to make you anything else, because the staff had left- it was after 10 at this point. So, I had to pick off my boyfriend‘s plate. I left with no dinner in my stomach and hungry. My boyfriend's entrée was kimchi rice and the mushroom side. He liked it. Shame on you Halcyon you could do better than this! We won't be coming back.

The noise was over the top...a real cacophony. Just two of us at a small but adequate size table and we had to shout to converse. So many tables, so close together. Food was excellent. Servers very nice, and professtional but looked stressed by the pace, given the number of tables they needed to serve. Would not recommend on a Saturday night. Even with excellent food did not feel like I was dining.
