We've been here for dinner a couple of times. First time the place was pleasant and enjoyable. Food was good. The most recent time, however, was a total mess. The food was horrible, our server disappeared. The restaurant was full. The kitchen was overwhelmed. We were left to fend for ourselves to find water. We couldn't wait to pay our bill and leave. It may be a hit or miss situation. It may have been an off night. Not sure. But there were a few reasons (not worth mentioning) that I don't want to give this place another chance. Hopefully, for their sake, it was a bad night.

The only time I have been here is for my friend's birthday brunch and she chose this place because I would have food to eat. I am vegan and gluten free and it is often difficult to find food I can enjoy. We went here last year and I got their burrito bowl. It was extremely tasty! This year, I was pleased to see they had an entire vegan/vegetarian menu to choose from. The almond milk pancakes were both vegan and gluten free. The pancake is actually just one huge pancake that fills the plate. The waitress said I would only need one pancake, however, I was still hungry after I ate it. So, I ordered an avocado toast with sweet potato hash on top. This was such a good meal! If they offer it when you go, you need to get it. Overall, I love their vegan options here and they are very accommodating to gluten free! I would say come early because parking on the street can be difficult.

Don't let the eclectic appearance fool you, the food is really great. Went for Easter brunch $34 a person. I had Goat cheese and bacon croissant as a starter excellent. Then had sunny eggs, mashed potatoes, toast and bacon as main. Everything done great. Highly recommend the place.

went mid day and had the Brunch menu. Got the Le Wild Salmon Benedict which came with a lemon Hollandaise sauce and she assured the sauce was vegan. It came with a side of sweet potato and the whole combination was so delicious. We also got the Almond Milk Pancakes which were GF and Vegan. It came with a side of Maple syrup and topped with honey glazed walnuts and berries. Was really satisfied with both the dishes. The service was good and loved the interior of the shop. This place has so many great options on the menu!!

I came along with a friend and had a delightful time here. The ambiance is cozy and charming, and the food is delicious. Each element in the dishes felt carefully crafted, not your average taste, which I appreciated.I usually don't finish the potatoes or sweet potatoes that come as sides, but here, with beets and onions mixed in, they were so tasty that I finished them all. :DI'll definitely be back soon - thank you!

Wow. The food was consistently mediocre across four people in our group. Of course, it was expensive. The service was mixed, too. Not consistent or attentive. We expected to like it.

Truly amazing restaurant. I felt like I'd been to so many restaurants in Montclair, and I don't know how I missed this one. Not only was the food amazing, but the waiter was one of the nicest, most welcoming waiters I've encountered. My wife and I came here for brunch, but got there too late and had to go with the lunch menu. She had the burger and I had the vegan burrito bowl that was suggested to me by the waiter. I also had a warm apple cider and my wife had a latte. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and drinks so much that I can't wait to get back. It's a cozy restaurant that you could miss if you're walking down the street, but it's very much worth it. It's easily my favorite restaurant in Montclair now.

Great spot! Food was great! A little bit pricey. Service is a little bit confusing - didn’t offer us the breakfast menu, we had to ask for it and ask for the one that we saw at their website. Despite of that, want to come back and try different dishes!

I would not return here. The service was disorganized and chaotic. Nothing seemed intentionally rude; it just seemed like the operation was not capable of serving people.

I've never written a Yelp review before, but felt I needed to share my experience about this place. The Short Rib breakfast sandwich is single-handedly and unequivocally the BEST breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten. So friggen good whoever chefs that bad boy up deserves to be paid a million dollars. Do yourself a favor and go to Le Salbuen in order to experience the eighth wonder of the world. Staff is really cool too. Adios!

Absolutely loved the interior - a mix of eclectic vintage and earthy coziness! I had the El Torta, with soft buns and juicy chicken pieces, fried egg, and melted cheese - it was delicious, though a bit messy to eat. I'm still thinking about the sauce that came with the fries - it may look like your regular spicy mayo condiment but there was a freshness (almost fruitiness) that made it so light! I'd love to come again and try more of their cafe/dessert offerings, as I loved the interior - would be great for a nice spring day!

So many good options. I am not a vegetarian or vegan but they are all excellent. Chocolate mousse is to die

Very intimate bistro experience, with small tables , mood lighting and a very eclectic menu where there is something for every palate. Servers are attentive and fun, and atmosphere is laid back with great music...Vegetarian options: Menu is split Carnavore /Vegetarian.
