This noshery is truly a hole in the wall type of place! A sweet surprise and over slept on! Their everything is made from scratch, even their pastrami, and everything tastes absolutely homemade. I had the matzo ball soup and latkes with some sour cream and apple sauce. Healthy, filling, and an absolute NJ comfort food!

Just found this place & have been twice. The Reuben rolls are really good as is the potato knish. The matzoh ball soup was fantastic. Service was good, food comes out quick and everyone is friendly. It’s a takeout spot so set your expectations accordingly. Going to be in my regular rotation from now on.

Enjoyed a corned beef sandwich with mustard on a club roll. The bread was super fresh & the corned beef was very tender and delicious - I highly recommend!

This is one of my go to lunch places. Their knishes are awesome. Amazing conned beef and pastrami. Great matzo ball soup. A Montclair gem

I have never received such terrible customer service in my life. Last night I ordered a Rueben, when I got it home the sandwich was ice cold and when we tasted it the flavor was off and it smelt weird. They were closed so I was not able to speak to them immediately.I called the restaurant this morning and was greeted with extreme hostility. The woman answering the phone continued to defend the sandwich and speak over me for the entire 15 minute phone call. Not once did she acknowledge that it could be an issue from the restaurant but instead told me that it was my fault because I didn’t not show up for the sandwich exactly twenty minutes after ordering it. If a item needs to be picked up in a strict time period for them to guarantee it, that needs to be written on their website and on any other app that they choose to take the orders through. The woman who I believe is the owner offered me to bring her the other half of the food and that she would give me store credit. I do not want store credit for a $20 sandwich that made my partner sick. I will never eat at that place again. She refused to reimburse me for it but GrubHub did. I highly suggest only ordering through them if you do choose to take the risk. That way if you get something that was left sitting out, you’ll be dealing with a company that wants to rectify the issue, not a person that will be condescending and aggressive.I can’t speak for everything they make but I can speak for this particular Rueben and on how poorly this establishment is ran. As someone who has owned a small business, maintaining a good rapport with my community and customer base has always been top priority, not my ego.

Kind of an old-time Jewish Deli, but "2.0, trained chef inspired." Impressive hand cut pastrami, corned beef, and brisket. The health salad was definitely "2.0" as it was the familiar cabbage mix but without the traditional soupy oil and vinegar dressing. It's very tasty. Mostly take out, but there are tables to sit at. Street parking and a parking garage across the street.

The Sloppy Joey is one of the most delicious sandwiches I've ever had. Their whole selection of sandwiches are impressive since they have great meats in store. They also have delicious pickles and I don't even like pickles that much! The staff are all friendly and they give this place a 'small town deli' feel which I love. It's a cozy shop that's a wonderful sandwich option in Montclair. Highly recommend if you're into Jewish style deli foods. Apparently they have amazing matzo ball which I will certainly try next when the weather is colder.

What a disappointment!!!! Matzoh ball soup was super salty. Pastrami was right out of a plastic shrink wrap bag. Dry, thick sliced and almost inedible. Best part of the meal was the Dr. Brown's soda. Wasted $50 on lunch for the two of us. Go to Kosher Nosh in Glen Rock for a real pastrami sandwich!!!!

Great sandwiches, delicious soups, and competitive prices. Meat is hand sliced and tender.

Poorly constructed sandwiches, low quality meat, awful AWFUL bread that has the texture of oily baby food. Super under seasoned. If you want to chew on an unflavored ball of fat in soggy bread knock yourself out. The positive reviews must be out of pity or limited experience with real deli food.

Pastrami sandwich was just OK, on the dry side. The hot dog should be avoided. Not sure why it's priced at $8, especially considering it looks like it was cooked days ago.

Nice quiet location. A few outside tables and about 5 stools at a counter. Very good for take out order ahead. Excellent pastrami, matzah balls and white fish. Good corn beef etc.

NJ has finally Landes a great pastrami not Boars head but Steamed brisket cut with cutlery in front of you. Authentic Jewish Deli they even sell egg creams and knish, bagel and lox, whitefish etc.
